Hi! My name is Raquel and I am a violin teacher. I am from Spain and at this moment I am studying for my Master's Degree at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.
I offer violin lessons for all ages and levels. I have a wide education in musical pedagogy, supported by many years of teaching in music academies and working as a private teacher.
I love teaching every kind of student and I truly believe that everyone can learn how to play an instrument and enjoy music!
Every student is different. I adapt my lessons according to the needs and wishes of each student so that you learn as much as possible and enjoy yourself playing.

About Me

I am a violinist from Spain living in the Netherlands. At this moment I am studying my Master's Degree in classical violin at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.
I am an open and flexible teacher who loves to be involved in her student's learning process. My experience has taught me that every student is different and that everyone can learn music and enjoy playing an instrument.

I started playing violin when I was 7. I completed my basic music education in Madrid and then I moved to Zaragoza, where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree.
Since 2018 I am studying a Master Degree.

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

I'm a violinist who graduated from The Juilliard School. I teach both modern and baroque violin from beginner to advanced level. As a musician, I perform constantly in Europe, America, and Asia. There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

I like to play, sing and find the most creative solutions to learn quickly within a space reserved for the student's questions and imagination.

As a musician I consider myself a very motivated person to always try new things. I also like to play from old music to contemporary music, so any style is welcome to try.

During my Bachelor's training in Classical Horn I have trained in different educational skills techniques as well as in teaching ensembles and basic conducting.
In addition to horn classes, I can also teach music theory and basic piano skills.

I am very flexible with lesson times, so reaching a common point shouldn't be too difficult.

You may have used to play the violin many years ago and are trying to get back at it but don't know how, you may have just started and you're looking for a teacher that can guide your first steps, you may be looking for regular coaching for an already developed sense of musicality — my classes accommodate all of the above and more.
Most of my pupils are already intermediate students who are dedicated to becoming the young violinists of the future, but that doesn't mean my class isn't for you if you are simply looking for a hobby! Music is about having fun together!

Hi! I am Elsa, I am 24 and I come from France. I am currently doing a jazz master at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, after obtaining my classical bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have been playing cello for 19 years. Over the years I played in various settings: chamber music (small ensembles like trios, quartet), bands (new music), solo and orchestras such as the Nationaal Jeugdorkest and Jong Metropole (national youth jazz orchestra).
I love to play classical music but also some jazz, funk or pop! I like to play with people, create music together, improvise... And I hope this is something I can also pass on to my students!
Since 6 years I am teaching all kind of people: all ages, all level, in different languages, individual or in groups... So don't be afraid to have a try! I can teach in english and french, and if your level is not fluent we will always find a way to communicate!

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Elsa, je suis française, j'ai 24 ans et je suis actuellement en master de jazz au Conservatorium van Amsterdam après avoir obtenu un bachelor classique au Conservatoire Royal de La Haye.
Ca fait 19 ans que je joue du violoncelle. Au fil des années j'ai joué dans beaucoup de contextes différents: musique de chambre, groupes, solo et orchestre (notament NJO et Jong Metropole).
J'adore jouer de la musique classique mais aussi du jazz, funk ou pop. J'aime jouer avec d'autre personnes, créer de la musique ensemble, improviser... J'espère que c'est quelque chose que je peux aussi transmettre à mes élèves!

Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects.
I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation.

I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes.

I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music.

I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

I structure the classes into three blocks, which I consider essential:

-Technique: through exercises and studies we must develop technical ability.
- Works of all styles: we learn from the great artists of all periods.
-Introduction to jazz and modern music: we will create a routine to work on improvisation and develop creativity.

These are the paths I propose, but each student is free to develop what he/she wishes. I also complement the classes with musical language and harmony.

Every pianist should focus on being a complete and balanced musician. We must develop aural skills, sight-reading, mastery of musical language and harmony, composition, improvisation, creativity, a critical spirit, good taste in music, and above all, a passion for music.

Are you looking for a music class for your child but you feel they are not ready for piano or another instrument yet?
In my 1 year "Preparatory Music Course" children from the age of 5 till the age of 7 have the opportunity to get introduced to the world of music, with fun and interactive lessons!
The lessons at taught in small groups (3-5 students) where they learn all the basics of Rythm, Singing, Piano playing, Improvisation and all the important music skills in a fun way! This happens by incorporating specific group "games", instructed by the teacher and it is the best way for young children to start understanding music.

After the course, the students are prepared to follow lessons on a specific Instrument of their choice.

I am teaching all levels, all ages, all kind of stile on the violin or viola. Of course mostly classical, but if you wish we can also play folk, pop or other kind of songs.

We can focus on playing, on musicality, technical skills, chamber music, as you wish.

We could also do general music education, or basic practical musical skills and training the ears.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

String instruments are often associated with written classical music and, because of their technical complexity, many players rarely dare to move beyond the safety of the score. But improvisation is not a mysterious talent we are born with. It requires as much discipline as freedom and develops through a specific set of skills that can be understood, practiced, and ultimately transformed into performance.

After more than ten years of teaching improvisation to professional string players at conservatory level, I have developed an approach that rethinks fingerboard visualization and the relationship between the ear, the hand, and the instrument, making improvisation more accessible to string players from all backgrounds.

In these lessons, I will help you understand the logic of the fingerboard, transpose effortlessly in any key, and visualize the shapes of any chord, expanding its harmonic possibilities for accompaniment. I will also show you how to create effective grooves through chops and percussive techniques, while developing a melodic language that goes beyond scales and patterns. We will explore styles including Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Pop, Rock, Brazilian, and World Music. (According to the style, we can also work with loops and effects.)

This class is intended for musicians with a solid technical command of their instrument who want to develop their improvisation skills, whether they are taking their first steps in improvised music or already have previous experience.

The lessons will be tailored to each student. I will adapt to your learning rhythm while keeping you challenged at the same time. You will receive regular feedback, advice, guidance, and learning materials.
