I give lessons ranging from simple conversation and pronunciation (around orality) to grammar and spelling. I have been a private teacher of French and English (all levels) for six years. I teach foreigners wishing to learn French as well (FLE). I also gave courses via an organization on half-class formats. I prepared for the exercises of the baccalaureate and the patent (in French as in English). About me: I speak Japanese! A former student of the literary preparatory class in Janson-de-Sailly, I then studied at La Sorbonne in French literature. I also have a confirmed C2 level of English. I like to transmit and teach, which I have been doing for 6 years now with passion.

This class is designed for people who are interested in learning how to speak English from basic conversations to more advance speaking skills. Let's have fun speaking English! PAST EXPERIENCE In the past I have hosted Exchange students from many different countries at my house every year and I was an exchange student myself in two different countries. I have lived in the US and France for a year. Originally, I am from Thailand so English is not my first language so I can truly understand the struggle to learn English. I would love to share some tricks and tips of how to learn English with my future students.

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above. You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience. Furthermore, I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have operated a private "Before & Afterschool" facility along with Summer Camps catering to children aged 4 to 12 for many years. I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. I have designed this program to combine the foundations of writing and understanding grammar usage. The grammar portion will aid students learn how to properly use grammar, such as punctuation, parts of speech, and master sentence structure. Through these lessons, I will teach students to gain confidence in speech and writing with clarity and correctness. The English portion will enhance reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and critical thinking skills. I will provide various texts and sections from selected readings to help the students develop the skills of analyzing and interpreting language. The writing portion of this class will expand the knowledge of the students to be able to express their thoughts clearly and creatively through structured writing. Through exercises and free writing, the students will develop essential writing skills for academic and personal success.
