Hello, my name is Johann.

I'm from France and I'm 37 years old. I speak French, English, German and Japanese. I have 10 years experience of teaching in France and Japan. I currently work under my own teaching and translating company (freelancer)

I teach Languages including French, English and German in Japan. I also help students from the LFIT, the Tokyo International High School to do their homework, as I am proficient enough in any subject (specifically in Mathematics and Physics) until the "Terminale" to prepare them for the "Baccalaureate", the exam at the end of the year.

And this is the perfect example that Pronounciation is one of the most important matter in French learning; not only for you to be able to understand French words and learn them, but also and mostly to be able to be understood when you speak them. Imagine: "Un ver vert va vers un verre vert". Which means that a green worm is going towards a green glass. This doesn't make any sense but it illustrates what we call Homonymes. The word homonyme comes from Latin, more specifically as "Homos" (similar) and "onoma" (name). And it get more complicated when Homophones have the same pronounciation but not the same meaning nor the same spelling. Or worst; "Homographes" which are written the same spelling but complete different meaning and pronounciation. And finally the most tricky ones are the perfect Homonymes like:" un TOUR de magie" and la TOUR d'un chateau. (Magic trick and Castle Tower)...
