Struggling with core Maths or English—or just need a clear path to Level 1/Level 2 Functional Skills? This 1:1 class is a practical, confidence-building programme tailored to your goals. I specialise in adult learners and teens (SEND-aware) and use diagnostics to build a plan that closes gaps fast.

What you’ll learn (Maths): number, decimals/fractions/percentages, ratio & proportion, measures, perimeter/area/volume, data & charts, word-problem strategies, calculator efficiency.
What you’ll learn (English): reading for purpose, skimming/scanning, finding evidence, planning & structuring writing, SPaG, formal vs informal tone, functional communication.
How we work: short diagnostic → personalised ILP → targeted mini-lessons → guided practice → marked feedback with next steps. I use retrieval practice, exam-style tasks, and simple templates so you know exactly how to improve.

I’m Fazal, a calm, results-focused teacher and coach with 12+ years’ experience in Functional Skills Maths & English (Entry–L2), study skills, and SEND-aware tuition. I run Apefoo Training, where I share practical strength, conditioning, and skill-building methods from my background as a climber, martial artist, and educator.
