English is a language that is commonly used around the world, from the top universities to businesses often knowledge of the English language is required to reach your full potential. In my class I will be covering everything from basic English to advanced English to those of all ages. A couple of areas in the English language in which I specialize is Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading and writing, job interviews, Greetings, colors, and conversational English. English for Beginners will focus on phonics and learning basic greetings and vocabulary that the learner uses daily. English for Intermediate learners will focus more on learning grammar and learners will do more writing and speaking exercises.

This online class mentors you in academic reading and writing skills. Within the first two hours, you will learn how to read an academic article, and get mentored on how to unpack an essay topic and answer an essay question. Most Humanities areas included. The method is that of a flipped classroom, meaning you write or work on your essay while online with your mentor, getting real time, live input and assistance. This online class is for absolute beginners, students struggling with writer's block, students in the humanities, also students who are in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Other topics addressed are: Method of how to unpack an essay question (1 hour, working with an essay the student is struggling with) How to read an academic article (2 hours, working with an article found by the student. ) How to conceptualise a thesis proposal. (3 hour workshop) How to write a thesis argument. (3 hour workshop) How to structure a thesis. (1 hour workshop) How to write a literature review. (3 hour workshop) How to supervise a student. About the lesson My lessons will always focus on the core aspects of performance: 1. Vocal (Breathing techniques, audibility, annunciation, commnication) 2. Physical (Expression in the body/ dance in the musical theatre / gestures in speech) 3.Emotional (Understanding the script / speech / character to deliver the most believable performance) All of these will be achieved in a relaxed fashion, through exercises, to ultimately achieve main goal: Looking great in front of an audience! Lesson in Afrikaans or English I teach from home but I’m also willing to travel at a small additional fee. I also offer online classes.
