Whether you're currently studying at school/college to take your maths exams for the first time or returning to study as a mature student, sometimes some extra help is required to reach your desired goal.
Having had a natural aptitude for maths from a young age and transferring that into successful studying for my own GCSE and A-Level, and then applying that to help achieve a BEng in Motorsport Engineering - there isn't much at this level that intimidates me, and I can help to show you that with the right methodologies and approaches which work for you, you too can achieve what you want from this subject.

I am currently in the process of training to become a secondary school teacher for this subject and have recently arranged to tutor a couple of individuals I know in my spare time (one who is at college, the other a mature student returning to studies) I've realized that I have an ability to provide one-to-one tutoring successfully.

One of my main strengths is adaptability, and this is most important as not everybody is able to gain understanding using the same methods. Regardless of your needs, I am confident that I will be able to adapt my teaching to help provide you with what you require to be successful in your goals.

I will work with you depending on your specific needs to arrange regular sessions should you need extended support, or perhaps there is a particular topic that requires more focused and short-term attention. An initial information gathering session would be useful to first understand what your goals are, but also to check that we will be able to work well together to achieve these.

What if I told you, everything around you from AI to economics has hidden Mathematics behind it, even the device your are currently reading this on can only work because of Mathematics. Therefore, it becomes crucial that your child relates to seemingly abstract concepts and understands why it is important to study them.

Given my real-life research experience and an advanced degree in applied mathematics, I can provide just that: real-world applicable examples of different mathematical concepts to keep the students engaged and interested in the subject matter. This practical approach not only enhances comprehension but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the relevance of mathematics in everyday life.

For instance, a simple concept like of percentages can be explained by relating it to expenses and the pocket money. Even seemingly daunting topics like Trigonometry and Differential Equations become accessible and exciting when I would explain how they are applied in sustaining not one or two but four different trillion-dollar industries.

Another example where students will be able to relate to with seemingly abstract concepts would be understanding the role of linear algebra in developing modern technology such as smartphones, GPS systems, and some firefighting equipment.

I make mathematics relatable, enjoyable, and comprehensible by offering numerous examples that demonstrate its practical significance. Whether your aspirations lie in sports, science, or medicine, mathematics is an indispensable tool, and my aim is to make the learning experience enjoyable and rewarding for every student.

I specialise in tutoring maths for age 3-11. I am a PGCE graduate ( primary school). I have worked in schools for the past 3 years.

My goal is to first acknowledge what my students already know and also understand what my students need more focus on. I will teach multiple methods and go through them step by step. I will be setting homework every lesson and provide feedback on the progress the student is making.

P.S. Algebra is my biggest strength.
