In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is entirely on natural discussion centered on books, writing, and cinema. We will chat about character psychology, narrative themes, and storylines. We can even read and analyze short book excerpts or script pieces together, depending on what makes your heart beat faster.

As a writer, I'm especially interested in how language creates emotion, reveals personality, and brings stories to life. Together, we'll explore not only what characters say, but why they say it that way, and how you can use those same natural expressions to sound more confident and natural in your own English.

Don't worry—you don't need to be a literary critic to enjoy these lessons. We use stories as a starting point for conversation, not as an excuse to overanalyze every page or scene. Whether you enjoy discussing your favorite novel, breaking down an unforgettable movie scene, or simply chatting about fictional worlds, the goal is to create a relaxed environment where English feels alive and enjoyable.

It's all about enjoying the language instead of seeing it as something intimidating. Yes, I will correct your mistakes, but mistakes are one of the most valuable parts of learning. They show us what to improve and help build lasting confidence. My goal is for every lesson to feel engaging, encouraging, and something you genuinely look forward to.

MULTILINGUAL LISTENING SUPPORT:
To make your lessons completely stress-free, you are welcome to use your native language whenever you get stuck. I have a strong passive understanding (listening and reading) of several languages, which means I can easily understand you if you speak or write in:

•Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese & German (Listening & Reading comprehension)

Note: While I mostly understand these languages when you use them, our actual conversation and explanations will be conducted in English or Serbian.

TECHNICAL DETAILS FOR ONLINE LESSONS:
I conduct my lessons via Google Meet (the easiest option—no installation required, you just click the link I send you) or Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference. During our sessions, we will actively use screen sharing, digital learning materials, and interactive notes to ensure your learning experience is highly effective and engaging.

I am an English teacher and a writer with an MA in English Language and Literature and a TEFL certification. More than anything, I am a massive books and movies enthusiast. And I mean MASSIVE. If I could, I would spend all my time reading books, writing books, and watching movies.

I believe that the best way to learn and practice a language is through the stories we love and the characters that are close to our hearts. Stories present English in context. Instead of memorizing isolated vocabulary lists, you'll discover how people naturally express emotions, solve problems, joke, argue, persuade, comfort one another, and build relationships. Learning vocabulary through meaningful situations makes it easier to remember and much easier to use in real conversations.

In our sessions, we focus on natural conversational English by exploring various stories and their effective use of the English language to make us feel something, even if it’s bad.
