This private class offers an exploration into rich and complex tapestry that is Chinese culture. Based on your interest, you'll learn more about Chinese history, philosophy, traditional and modern Chinese society, literature, religion, etc. With China's importance on the international stage growing incessantly, I believe it's very useful to understand the Chinese way of thinking, to develop awareness of cultural sensitivities and to gain some insight in the history that structures China's perspective on the world. Originally structured as a lecture-based course, the content can also be restructured into a more interactive learning design. Whether you're interested in ancient classical philosophy, dynastic history, modern Chinese society and popculture or the economic development of China, this course has something to offer.

Everyone learns differently. That's why I teach the way you want. You decide what you want to learn and how, including when your lesson takes place and how long it lasts. I teach art history to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, online or at my home in Velp. You can learn about, among other things, the visual arts, music and literature from prehistory to the present. You can work towards an exam/test/training or just learn out of interest. Whether it concerns Michelangelo's David or the graffiti on the walls of Dubai, I'll be happy to tell you about it. Anything is possible. I am trained as a musician/writer and am a second-degree teacher. I have over 10 years of experience in education and have been teaching art history, music history, creative writing and other subjects at the senior level of a small secondary school for a number of years, where I am also a team member. I write teaching materials that are used at various schools in secondary and higher education. I have a lot of experience with innovative education and one-on-one teaching. You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

I'm currently working on my thesis. I took a literary preparatory class with an average of 16.5 in philosophy. I'm currently an "independent philosopher." I'm very interested in aesthetics, phenomenology, and the humanities and their approaches to urbanity! My favorite theme is the notion of dwelling. My approach will consist, mainly, of learning methods so that you are more efficient in your work - time is precious! As for knowledge, I will adapt it according to your needs/requests. Everyone who engages with politics (which is to say, everyone) has an ideology. But not everyone is conscious of- let alone consistent in their ideology. In fact, most people’s conscious politics are nothing more than an inconsistent aesthetic. But anyone who has a world they long to see owes it to themselves to at least be self aware of their own ideology, and they should probably also familiarize themselves with others as well. I can help on both fronts. This 10-session class serves as an introduction to the concept of political ideology. We will begin with a brief overview to various major academic theories of ideology, before moving on to a taxonomical survey of different ideological genuses and families, both “thick-centered” ideologies, that is, ideologies with a comprehensive core specific enough that they can stand on their own as it were, such as liberalism, conservatism, socialism, and fascism, and “thin centered” ideologies, which have much broader and hence much less specific cores, and hence must attach themselves to other thick centered host ideologies in order to fully manifest themselves, such as populism, nationalism, feminism, and ecologism.

Italian is the language of literature, of bel canto, and the language of one of the most beautiful countries in the world. In my course we will start with the linguistic and phonetic basics to then advance to more complex writings. You will practice speaking and correct pronunciation, to then arrive at written exercises, which you will also have to do at home to better assimilate the contents.

This class offers personalized instruction in philosophical and/or sociological theory, suited both for students seeking academic support and for individuals with a general interest in a philosophical topic. Sessions are designed according to the student’s goals, whether it’s clarifying course material, preparing written assignments, or exploring theoretical texts independently. I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. I also hold a background in sociology, which allows me to offer interdisciplinary approaches to social theory and critical thought. Sessions can be focused on specific authors or movements (e.g. Plato, Spinoza, feminist theory), or organized thematically around concepts such as love, beauty, perception, or subjectivity. The goal is to foster rigorous but accessible understanding, with attention to both conceptual clarity and historical context.

Providing essay writing guidance and support, primarily for social sciences and humanities. Assisting with structure, referencing, possible sources to include, and checking spelling and grammar I'm currently undertaking a PhD in Global Environmental Politics at the University of Lincoln (UK) but based in Amsterdam. I have previously completed an MSc in Environmental Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE, UK) and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Bristol (UK). I have extensive experience teaching Bachelors students on Politics and International Relations modules, including running workshops on essay writing, setting and marking essays, and providing constructive feedback for improved essay writing. I can also assist students for whom English is their second language - to write essays in a more academic and formal style.

Beginning with the agricultural revolution, and then the industrial revolution, and then the World Wars, investigate what led up to the Cold War. Investigate the irony of thw historical streams colliding into one with the irony of many newly liberated countries being sucked into the global battle being waged in the north. A look at a dozen of so case examples, to include Korea, Guatemala, Iran, Cuba, Chile, the Congo, Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Nicaragua, and Honduras, of the consequences of the Cold War. A look at modern events from Iran, the migration crisis, Cuba, Venezuela, Russian and Ukraine through the lens of the Cold War never having ended.
