You won't need to make common beginner mistakes as I pass on all my tips and tricks from 20yrs of knitting experience (I started when I was 8!). I'll walk you through the basics of knitting and what you'll need for your first project, as well as hard to find free resources from across the web.

Hello there! I'm Kat, I'm a fibre artist, which is a very official way to say I spend my days knitting. I first learned to knit when I was 8 and haven't stopped since. Knitting is an incredible hobby as it caters to a diversity of needs, skills, and artisitic vision. I love sharing my unique take on knitting with students and encouraging everyone to try their hand at something new.

I attended the University of Kent for my postgrad, where I obtained an MSc. For my undergrad, I attended Florida University, where I obtained a BS in Psychology with a minor in Arts.

I have been knitting for over twenty years, and have spent the last decade in classrooms working with children and adults across a variety of needs (both physical and mental) to help them identify hobbies and activities they enjoy while promoting educational outcomes. For the past two years, during my master's, I have focused exclusively on teaching knitting.
