Make your own song, record it, and have creative support!

Do you make music at home, but always wanted to record a song for fun?

If you are learning how to play it, I have the gear to help you create and record a song, so you can share it with your friends and family, or just have it for yourself.
I can play a lot of instruments and create tracks to accompany you. You can write a song or make a recording of you playing something you are working on. Depending on your level and experience with music, it would be a great way to learn some music theory too.

I am Julia, a professional musician originally from Montreal, Canada. I have lived in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer, and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experience with ages 9 to 90. I want to get the song in your head out into the air.

Maybe you need an open ear to talk to about creativity, somebody to make sure you are following through on things, or help finding your curiosity. Maybe you secretly made a New Year's resolution to follow through on a creative project, maybe it's something new or to return to something you'd left behind. We all have our mediums, mine is music! Even if you are not a musician but do other kinds of projects, I hope I can help you structure and spark your creative project. I have taught music lessons and given group workshops since 2016. I have also produced and funded performances, recordings, and research projects. Doing this with a Master's in Music but also side-studies in Psychology, Education, and years of experience as a freelancer, I am always learning about balancing organization and creativity.
Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching. I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully. I am Julia, a professional saxophonist originally from Montreal, Canada. The main idea of my teaching philosophy is to get the sound in your head out into the air. "Guided Fearless Music-Making" is my motto!

Singing lessons for all levels/music theory/ rhytmic skills/ piano basic skills
Hello! I’m Eleni, a singer from Greece with nearly seven years of experience teaching music. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or more experienced wanting to refine your skills, all lessons are tailored to each student's needs and goals, with the aim of building confidence and authenticity in their singing and/or develop a strong foundation on musical knowledge. For the singing lessons, we'll be covering breathing and vocal technique, interpretation along with expression and, depending on your goals, the approach we will have can be either focued on singing or holistic; including music theory, rhythmic skills and basic piano skills. Lessons are available in various styles, so whatever your musical passion, we can bring it to life together! And, having a background in jazz music, I can also help you develop your improvisation skills, giving you the freedom to explore and create your own sound! Music theory, rhythmic lessons and basic piano skills are, of course, also offered as separate courses. So if you have no idea on how to read music or you are feeling clumsy when it comes to rhythm or piano, there's no problem! We can work on this together from scratch! :)

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Sing and Play with Confidence - Piano and Voice Lessons Designed Around You and Your Love for Music

Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, lessons can focus on a variety of areas including: -sight-reading and sheet music literacy -ear training and pitch recognition -music theory fundamentals -technique and performance skills -singing and playing simultaneously I also incorporate my own proven teaching method, but I am happy to adjust to methods you may already be familiar with or prefer. Lessons are customized to align with your musical interests and objectives. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out, I´d be happy to connect and discuss how we can get started.

Private guitar lessons for every level: from basic chords to out of the box improvisation
Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as soon as possible. See you soon! Richard PS: my specified hours are a guideline, if this does not suit you, you can certainly send us a message and we will try to arrange something :)

Improvisation for beginners and intermediates (any instrument)
Would you classify improvisation as composition or performance? Well actually it is both! When you improvise you are composing music on the spot, performing what you have made up at the same time as you have composed it. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. The key to success is understanding chords. Once you know how chords are formed and know what notes make up a few chords you will be well on your way towards being able to improvise. We will, therefore, start by ensuring a firm knowledge of certain chords. After this we will progress to improvising a simple melody over the top of these chords. The next stage is to start using notes that are not in the chord. The process is then open ended with emphasis on developing the melody. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
