Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level. I believe music can bring so much value to our lives, it can excite us and move us, give us a sense of purpose and identity and ultimately enrich us in ways we would never otherwise grow.

Are you a musician already, but you haven’t opened the door to music theory and don’t know where to start? Perhaps you are preparing for upcoming exams, or you simply want to spark your curiosity further with the mechanics of music? At any level, I’m here to teach music theory for jazz and contemporary music.
I want to show my students the connection between music on a theoretical level and their instruments. And how understanding the building blocks of music can lead to new creative avenues through which to express themselves. It can be a struggle to know where to get started both technically and theoretically; understanding your instrument and what you are playing can help to facilitate real musical growth.
As a conservatory student, having followed advanced jazz music theory. I can help at any level to further your knowledge and understanding of music. Theory is such a powerful tool for composition, songwriting and improvisation, let’s learn together in an environment that puts you and your instrument first.
I offer classes from beginner musicians to conservatory / music school entrance exams and everything in between & beyond.

Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level.
I spent 2019-2022 touring South East Asia and East Africa playing saxophone in a jazz ensemble, and teaching at schools and privately. Music has been a passport for me to travel the world and connect with such a variety of people and cultures. I believe music can bring so much value to our lives, it can excite us and move us, give us a sense of purpose and identity and ultimately enrich us in ways we would never otherwise grow.
Whether you are just starting out on your journey as a musician and you need help with the very basics of your instrument, or you have existing experience but are looking for help / structure to take you to the next level - I am so looking forward to working with you in an engaging environment to help you turn a hobby into a serious passion. I also teach music theory if you are an existing musician but have not taken the first steps into theory yet, or you are preparing for upcoming exams all the way up to Conservatorium level.

Subjects that I teach:
1. Electric bass: Learn to play and understand jazz, funk, metal, R&B, pop or any other style with the necessary techniques (including slap bass, from basic to advanced).
2. Double bass: Learn the techniques and knowledge involved in playing double bass and apply them to playing either Jazz, or any other style.
3. Music theory: Learn the theory behind what you are playing and gain a deeper understanding of the music you are playing.
4. Preparation for conservatory (or any other music school) entrance exam: Learn all the necessary skills and knowledge to enter a conservatory.

Hey! I give private piano lessons for kids and adults in Maastricht. I offer piano lessons based on the individual program from the level, personal interests, and aspirations. Therefore teaching methods and materials will always be chosen in consultation with the student. I have worked in music schools with children and I have taught private lessons for 5 years dealing with people of all ages. Lessons can be given in Spanish or English and it is also possible to give in my location, in yours, or by online too.

I believe a good technique is fundamental and can make you enjoy playing music more, and together with that comes development of a person's musicality, I can help you develop both a good technique and a your musicality so that you can achieve a nice musical expression.

To stay organized and cover all the essentials, I like to split the lesson in parts, depending on your skill level of course. In a lesson of one hour we can cover theoretical music skills, breath work, reed exercises, etudes and technical exercises and pieces. We can also play duos together!
Because I have a lot of experience making reeds, I can make and adjust your reeds to your maximal comfort.

Hello! I’m Eleni, a singer from Greece with nearly seven years of experience teaching music. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or more experienced wanting to refine your skills, all lessons are tailored to each student's needs and goals, with the aim of building confidence and authenticity in their singing and/or develop a strong foundation on musical knowledge.

Hello, I'm Jungmi, a professional jazz pianist and composer. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Piano and a degree in Jazz Composition from the Maastricht Conservatory. As the leader of the Little Big Jazz Orchestra, which I founded in 2022, I explore rich emotional landscapes through expressive melodies, intricate harmonies, and unique orchestrations.

My orchestra has received recognition, including a nomination for the Maastricht Jazz Awards, the Audience Award, and performances at festivals such as Jazz Out Fest and Make It Jazz Festival in Tilburg. We were also finalists for the Edmond Hustinx Prize and received an Honorable Mention at the Laren Jazz Festival 2024. Currently, we are preparing for our debut album release.

In addition to performing, I offer lessons in jazz piano, composition, and music theory. It can be jazz, pop and gospel music. My teaching focuses on helping students develop a strong foundation while discovering their unique sound. Saxophone lessons:

Mathias' lessons are for both beginners and advanced students. The lessons are based on the student's desire to learn and be inspired, and it is important for him to be able to help develop and stimulate this desire.

Selected focus points in the lessons are:
- Sound and equality
Focus on uniform quality throughout the register and feeling that you have control and decide for yourself over the instrument.

- Ear training
Particularly the ability to perceive, retain and reproduce musical structures. This is trained with Mathias through simple and effective principles.

In Mathias' lessons, you are provided with various exercises that strengthen embouchure, breathing technique and your understanding of harmony and improvisation.
