Hi!
I'm a native Russian speaker, but most importantly, I'm a linguist. I have a diploma from St.-Petersburg State University where I was specifically taught to teach languages. This means that I can explain complicated stuff so that it doesn't look so complicated anymore. Sounds about right, doesn't it?

I'm also a very relaxed, open-minded and easy-going person, which means I like to have a no-stress classroom. I work at my students' pace, I don't rush them and keep the positive vibe throughout the course. Russian is not the easiest language, but who said overcoming challenges can't be fun?

But I'm also a professional, so my lessons are structured and each of them achieves a specific purpose (usually, several, in fact). This means that you will see your progress. You'll remember more words, you'll start building more complex sentences, you'll be able to understand native speakers better. In short, you will learn Russian!

The auxiliary language of my lessons is English and I also speak French and German, but our main focus is Russian (right?), so don't worry if you don't have a high level in those languages. We'll manage!

My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. In the process of learning and using a language, it is fundamental to get deeper in the traditional sayings, proverbs and natural assimilations of the expressions, both to be more comprehensible and familiar in the conversation and to understand the essence of that culture and its people. And this is a very convenient skill for building strong relationships both in personal life and in professional life.
Therefore I will go beyond the technical, towards a more culture-oriented approach in my teaching and I believe it is the most efficient in the long term familiarization of a language.
