I'm 25 years old, born and raised in Paris, and I've been living in Berlin for a year now.
I have been learning German and teaching French ever since, and I am currently preparing for a diploma in French as a foreign language.

I'm passionate about languages and am always trying to understand their mechanisms and the links between them. I will try to share what I have learnt about French with you (even though French doesn't always make sense!)

During a session, I prepare a framework for discussion around a predefined topic. This allows students to practise speaking, learn new vocabulary and, if necessary, review specific grammar points.

Mein Name ist Max und ich komme aus Paris. Ich spreche fließend Englisch und habe ein B2-Niveau in Deutsch.
Ich habe schon immer gerne unterrichtet und mache das seit November 2024 in Berlin, sowohl privat als auch mit der Firma Lernwerk.

Opleiding

Ich habe einen Master-Abschluss in Chemie und meine erste Berufserfahrung habe ich in der IT-Beratung gemacht. Ich bin gerade dabei, mich zum Lehrer umzuorientieren, und würde gerne einen Quereinstieg für den Schulbeginn 2026 machen.

Leservaring

Ich arbeite beim Lernwerk seit November 2024, wo ich französische Nachhilfe für Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klasse 5 bis 10 gebe.

Ich gebe auch privat Nachhilfe.

French tutoring - all levels (also help with science homework)

This course is aimed at French learners of all levels.

In class, I suggest :
- Interactive learning: conduct conversations, practice pronunciation, improve listening comprehension
- Written skills: Grammar and vocabulary rules. I try to delve into the etymological reasons and connections between different languages to better understand the rules, which helps memorize them!
- Cultural insights: Learn the above points through typical French examples of culture and phrases that will (hopefully) make you dream.

Ideally, lessons would be held in French, because practice makes perfect!
However, we can switch to English or German if necessary.

I can also help with science (chemistry, physics and mathematics), for example with homework.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey to mastering French :)

The French language can come across as a very difficult one (I know...). With my teaching experience, my experience as a translator and love for my mother tongue, I believe I can make you change your mind and help you becoming fluent or at least help you understand much more of this "langue de l'amour". Together, we can find the topic(s) in which you are interested and start from there.

Keeping in mind that practice makes perfect, I believe writing essays (and improving them afterwards) helps. I therefore often give short assignments to keep the learning process going after the class.

I have been teaching online for the last few months and came up with some new ideas, so whether we organise the class online or somewhere in Berlin, is entirely up to you!
