If you want to enter for piano exams, with seven years of experience in preparing students for both Associated Board and Trinity piano exams I can help you work your way up the grades while making the process enjoyable and enriching. If a student is not working towards exams but requires private tuition, my aim is to approach the English subject enthusiastically and broadly, highlighting the vast range of approaches that students can take towards discovering new topics, practising new learning techniques and exploring their own personal interests within the subject in the most educationally enriching way possible.

I am a vastly experienced violinist and composer with a Masters Degree from the prestigious Lucerne Hochschule - Musik in Switzerland and Postgraduate Degree from Trinity Laban in London. I structure the class around three different aspects:
* addressing technical issues - intonation, bow technique and sound quality, posture

With solo piano performance degrees from the Royal Academy of Music (London) and the Universität der Künste (Berlin) I am a highly qualified award-winning concert pianist with almost 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for education. My musical learning was also furthered by postgraduate musicological studies at Royal Holloway and serious interests in philosophy, religions, history, civilization, literature, poetry, law, languages as well as many other things. I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. In the last two decades, teaching has been giving meaning to my life and I enjoy helping others to find fulfillment as well as joy in their learning.

My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning. There is a focus on enhancing musical understanding, developing or improving reading skills, building up technique, expanding repertoire in a healthy way and foundationally preventing or sorting out injuries as well as pain-related problems.
