Hello! My name is Monique, I am from Australia and have been playing violin and viola for over 20 years! My native language is English, however I have a fair level of German, so this is also possible. I studied both ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and AMEB (Australian Music Education Board) Violin. I am currently working on my ABRSM Diploma. Back in Australia I play the viola in a string quartet. We perform at weddings and corporate events. If you are interested in learning viola, this is also possible. Beginners are very welcome! Hi everyone, My music adventure started with playing piano when I was 8 years old. When I was 14, I got accepted from Istanbul University State Conservatoire and started to play flute and saxophone. After I graduate, I went to Marmara University Music Education department in Istanbul and graduated in 2016. In the same year, I moved to the Netherlands in order to study jazz music. I graduated from Prince Claus Conservatoire in 2020 and moved to Berlin last January for work and my master programme. I used to perform on various genres with different setups in lots of different venues in Istanbul and Europe. I mainly play contemporary/experimental music, but also enjoy playing and teaching pop, jazz, classical, blues, funk, soul, latin, afro-jazz.

I have many years of experience with children and adults at all levels. I have been a lecturer at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin since 2021, as well as at the coordinated special school "Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Gymnasium". I offer you here, a professional lesson for beginners and advanced. I studied at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin with the world-renowned professor and soloist Prof. Marie-Luise Neunecker. I completed the concert exam with Prof. Sibylle Mahni Haas, who is currently teaching as the successor to Prof. Marie-Luise Neunecker at the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule. I have been officially teaching at Bilkent University Ankara since 2009 as a lecturer. My previous students have successfully received study places at the Hanns Eisler Berlin and UDK Berlin, among others, as well as various orchestra positions. I have 20 years of orchestral experience as a permanent employee and have worked with the following orchestras: Bavarian State Orchestra Munich, Frankfurt Opera (Museum Orchestra), The German Chamber Philharmonic, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Washington DC Opera and Bremen Philharmonic. At the moment I'm playing as a temporary assistant with the most sought-after orchestras in Berlin, such as the German Symphony Orchestra and the Konzerthausorchester.
