I am a Royal Academy fine art graduate and have taught for many years, teaching all ages and abilities. These classes are for everyone, whether its for pre-school children experimenting making masks, puppets or paintings, student's needing support with their portfolios and sketch books or those who are complete beginners and want to learn a new skill.
These lessons will be adapted to support each students particular need. My goal is to help individuals to get the most out of these lessons, supporting them to gain confidence with creating artworks and gaining skills using different painting and drawing mediums and lastly (but most importantly) to have fun!

Informations supplémentaires

Materials needed can be discussed prior lessons. However A4 paper and a range of 'B' pencils and a rubber and pencil sharpener are useful pieces of equipment to have on hand.

During my lessons I aim to support student's with becoming confident in art. Helping learn through focusing on the positives. I understand how important it is to be engaged and learn by enjoying the task that you are doing. So I make sure that I tailor each lesson so that it is relevant to the student and interests them, ensuring that they enjoy themselves.

Expérience / Qualifications

I have a masters in Fine art and a driving license. I have experience running craft and art classes for all ages, from under 5's, teenagers and adults. My experience ranges from costume, prop and set making, life drawing classes and messy play!

I am a painter, weaver and researcher currently doing a PhD in textile research for trauma recovery.

For the past two years I have been on The Clothworkers Company of Weavers Award - developing my artistic practice at Cockpit Arts, London’s leading studios for contemporary crafts and the UK’s only business incubators for makers and designers.

In 2019, I graduated from an MA in Weave at the Royal College of Art. Since them, I have been mentoring students with building their portfolio and undertake research. Alongside my practice, I also teach drawing and painting for all levels. Painting is an expression of a state of mind, emotions and sensations. With the right tools and skills, it can become your language. I help my students building their aesthetic and gain confidence whether it is for leisure or professional purposes.

I sell my work on the online platform Zatista and have given talks on textile and mental health at the Craft Council.
I am also part of a research project with the Craft Council and Creative Europe.

Hello! I am a professional model-maker for theatre and opera - having made model boxes for several designers as well as for my own work!

If you ever fancied a job as a set designer or just wanted to make 1.25 or 1.50 scale models, I can help you understand the different materials, working with scale and just how to make miniature things!

I can come to you or work via Zoom.

I teach fine art with an emphasis on painting and drawing, you will learn how to draw using charcoal, graphite, pencil and paint using oils, acrylic, ink and watercolour. However the lessons are deigned to experiment with as many materials and approaches to making art as possible in order to for you open up your practice.
The tutorials are also designed to engage in critical thinking, discussing your work in an informal but constructive way, and learning about art history by looking at other artists past and present.
Art is about being passionate and finding something you want to express in a visual language, and I’m here to help facilitate your vision.
