Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style. Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I have a degree in Physics with 6 years of experience in IES. My methodology is quite good given that last year, nobody failed and those who took the Selectividad, got the necessary grade for their studies. In the case of students who wish to access FP, I have made a summary of all the entrance exams. It was one of the subjects I taught at an IES. The time available for each student may vary slightly depending on where the student lives, because I don't mind traveling, but I have my work commitments.
