Trusted teacher: Can learning English be fun, insightful, productive and affordable at the same time? I believe so! Whatever your background or profession, deciding to learn a foreign language is a great way to add another dimension to your life and make your mind work in a new way. You become a (slightly) different person, since along with a new language, one learns to look at the world in a slightly different way. This is why my approach to teaching English is not only aimed at laying or strengthening the foundational knowledge - grammar, speaking, writing and listening skills, but also at introducing students to the culture of the English-speaking population. We will find out what English speakers find funny, what drives them to tears, what makes them feel proud and what they get embarrassed about. Open to students of all levels, my course usually is taught online, using a variety of visual aids and a wide range of material, from textbooks to YouTube videos. In teaching advanced learners, I often refer to pieces of literature such as novels and poems, since they easily spark discussions, which in turn improves the students' grasp and feel of the language. In doing so, I take students beyond ordinary textbooks and grammar books, since they are no more than guides to learning, not absolute authorities, and because to me language is a living, constantly evolving matter, which you must submerge yourself into in order to understand. In addition to my unorthodox approach, what sets me apart is a collection of unique, language-related experiences, which translate into a good ability to understand nuances of the English language. A native Russian speaker, I have lived in the UK for over 5 years, went to a Scottish boarding school and have even completed a university degree in English. Thanks to my linguistic and cultural competency, I will make sure that you are never lost in translation! Are you interested? Then contact me today!

Trusted teacher: Your kid needs support to successfully complete his Abitur? Distance learning is taking its toll on his or her performance? Some extra help is necessary to handle an overwhelming workload and tackle finals' pressure? Your reason to read more 8 years non-stop teaching. Coaching experience. PhD student. Engineer. Knowledge is my prime passion and talent, as I have been continuously studying and transmitting everything I was learning, for most of my life. My experience with teaching, and as an older brother, has led me to an important awareness: tutoring never goes without a deep understanding of the person in front of you. The Key to Success: Education Knowledge and rationality is what makes us human: that's why we encourage our children to pursue education and make success out of their knowledge. But what if the education provided to your son is not the one for him? While the education system does work efficiently for the majority, it still fails in reaching all individuals with equally positive outcomes. Many students with different needs, peculiar intelligence, attention deficits or underachievers are not included in what is designed for the most. Whether the reason is a gap in previous preparation, a fault in the programs or a lack of interest or motivation, it needs to be solved within education itself: they are not failing at school, it is school that is failing them. When school does not succeed in providing the appropriate education to kids, they start feeling like studying is not for them, which results in decreasing efforts. As a consequence, their evaluations get even worse, which sets a vicious cycle. In other cases, the kids may find the workload of study too easy, resulting in a lack of incentives and sleazy performances. Does this sound all too familiar yet? I am here to break this trend. With a tailored study program and a systematic feedback, I will convert this cycle from a vicious to a virtuous one, to ensure that the student becomes pragmatic, ambitious and enthusiastic. Targeting the personal side Teaching consists of two parts: tutoring and coaching. While the tutoring aims at transmitting knowledge, the coaching is where the teacher helps the student create his or her own independent mindset and competencies, through guidance and support. The main goal of my teaching activity is to understand the specific needs of my students, and shape my approach around their personality, potential and necessities. Achieving goals My purpose is to provide your daughter or son with the best possible education in the most challenging subject of their studies: Mathematics. This subject normally means a big hurdle for most people. My goal is to make this hurdle easier to the point it becomes success and increases self-confidence. This includes not only dry explaining tasks but restoring fun and motivation. At Pukies Coaching, we work to prepare our students with a deeper understanding of science and to eradicate the fear of difficult tasks. To achieve this, we optimize learning techniques, fill in gaps and customize ourselves around students' individual goals. As often happens, the key lies in organization, which is our prime tool of working and the one we teach students so that they can rely on their own capacities. Thank you for your interest Did you know? On average, a reader decides within the first few seconds whether to read a text to the end. I have just begun an MSc in Data Analytics and I am looking to tutor Maths not only to help support my studies but also to fulfil a long held desire of mine to help children learn Maths. I love Mathematics and have always had a desire to teach it and bring it alive to those either wanting to know more or to help those having difficulty bedding down some of the concepts. Having had some tutoring myself during my Physics A level I have first-hand experience seeing how much value the additional support of a Tutor can add to a student's existing classroom knowledge. From the perspective of a teacher / tutor - I have two younger half siblings that have had difficulty with Mathematics growing up but have always enjoyed sitting down and helping the grapple different topics they came across in various homework exercises. I find it hugely rewarding the moment you see concepts 'click' with those studying the topic. Although I have not formally worked in a tutoring capacity previously, I believe I possess a number of qualities which make me well suited to teaching Maths. My career path to date training to become an Actuary has seen me continue to use and develop my numeric knowledge, particular in the field of statistics. My roles in industry too have developed my communication. Working as an Investment Analyst in my first job particularly gave me the opportunity to improve explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences as I would often have communicate complex Investment Strategy options to the trustees of pension schemes, many of whom would not have a numerical background. Lastly, I think my personality lends itself well to tutoring. Those familiar with any of the 'colour profiling' personality evaluation exercises available might recognise me as an 'Earth Green' type. To those not familiar, the dominant traits that best describe an Earth green are patience, supportive and considerate - all of which I hope I can leverage to help students overcome any difficulties they are having with the topic. With a bit of guidance around which areas of Maths you are looking to improve on I think I could really help bring alive the field of Maths for you. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Trusted teacher: What I offer: A Level: Biology GCSE: Maths, English, Science KS3: Maths, English, Science 11+: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning KS2: Maths, English, Science KS1: Maths, English, Science I am a qualified teacher (DBS checked) and have over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, with students ranging from 4-18 years old. On top of that, I also helped my brother gain entry into Cambridge University for Economics and have seen countless other students succeed under my mentorship. This is because I recognise that there is a process and that if students follow that process, they are guaranteed to succeed. I try my best to make learning enjoyable for students but I also have high expectations as I believe every student has it in them to achieve the top grades. I provide homework for each and every lesson. If students struggle with it, they come to me the following lesson and we go through the mistakes. I teach them the techniques to combat their weaknesses and this ensures they are ironed out, guaranteeing improvement. Students can also bring me work they are struggling with independently. All the students that have come to me have improved and rapidly. Testimonials: 'He helped my daughter get into Forest School. The homework and regular advice really made all the difference. We cannot thank him enough.' - Mr. Atwal 'Starting with him was the best decision I made for my son's education. He did so much better in his GCSEs than we expected. He was on track for Ds and Es and managed to get nearly all A*-B! Imagine what Umar could've achieved if we'd found him earlier!' - Mrs. Ahmed 'Vinay helped me so much with A Level Biology. I got an A (very nearly an A*) and am now studying Dentistry at university.' - Raman
