Succeed in the DELF or DALF (French diploma) - Private preparation sessions | [IN LINE]My name is Fawzi, and I am a French language teacher. Since 2012, I have been giving private lessons online. My objective is to support learners towards success in the DELF (Diploma of Studies in French Language) or the DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language), as well as the TCF (French Knowledge Test). I have had the pleasure of helping many students of different nationalities through my online courses. For me, helping enthusiasts practice the French language is an enriching experience, because I understand the importance of success in the lives of ambitious people.
I speak Arabic, French, Spanish, a little English and a little Turkish. During my classes, I explain concepts in French, Arabic or Spanish, depending on your preference. At the end of each session, I offer exercises to do as homework, in order to identify your gaps and monitor your progress.
Here are some essential points to know about the DELF and DALF:
- The DELF (Diploma in French Language Studies) and the DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language) are two high-quality official diplomas. They are aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and cover the following six levels, from the most basic to the most advanced: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. These diplomas are suitable for all ages and all audiences.
- The DELF B2 and, increasingly, the DALF C1, provide access to French, European or French-speaking universities, as well as certain Grandes Ecoles.
If you plan to take DELF or DALF exams, or if you want to improve your level, do not hesitate to book your sessions with me to start preparation. I am available !

French, English, and Wolof Tutoring lessons on and offOnline Lessons:
In today's digital age, online lessons have become a convenient and flexible way to acquire new skills or knowledge. Whether it's language learning, academic tutoring, or professional development, online platforms offer a virtual space where learners can connect with educators from around the world. The advantages include accessibility, flexibility of scheduling, and the ability to access resources from the comfort of one's home. However, success in online learning often requires self-discipline and effective time management.
In-Person Lessons:
Traditional in-person lessons provide a face-to-face learning experience that has stood the test of time. From classrooms to workshops, in-person lessons offer a direct and personal interaction between the learner and the instructor. This method fosters a sense of community, allows for immediate feedback, and promotes a structured learning environment. In-person lessons are ideal for hands-on activities, group discussions, and activities that benefit from real-time collaboration. However, they may be less flexible in terms of scheduling and may require physical presence.
Both online and in-person lessons have their merits, and the choice often depends on individual preferences, learning styles, and the nature of the subject being taught.

Hey, hola! :) Looking for a Native Spanish Language CERTIFIED Teacher? +8 years experienceCertified ELE & DELTA Teacher + Catalan/Spanish Native Speaker & Italian C1 Level – Professional references available from my teaching experience across six countries, where I have worked with both individual learners and small groups. I have taught all levels from A1 to C2 and have extensive experience in preparing students for official examinations - particularly, DELE, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL and Aptis ESOL certificates). In addition to exam preparation, I have worked in a variety of contexts, including conversational English and Spanish, as well as technical language in fields such as corporate communication, water sports, and safety. This has given me a broad and adaptable teaching style, tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
Former students have often remarked that what sets my classes apart is their highly participatory nature. I make a conscious effort to avoid monologues, encouraging students to speak and engage actively in every session. I believe in creating a positive, enjoyable learning environment where conversation serves as the main vehicle for practicing grammar, comprehension (both oral and written), and eventually, written expression.
As a lifelong language learner myself, I understand the importance of feeling comfortable in the learning space—whether in person or online. I strive to foster an atmosphere of trust and motivation, where each learner feels supported not only during lessons, but also when working independently, so that tasks such as homework become meaningful rather than tedious.
Por favor, do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have further questions. Con muchas ganas de ayudarte en tu nueva aventura lingüística :)
¡Muchas gracias por tu tiempo y nos vemos pronto!
Moltes gràcies, estem en contacte! Grazie mille di tutto e ci sentiamo presto!
Thank you so much and let's keep in touch!

Bilingualism and Code-Switching: by popular demandIn these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students.
Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English.
My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual.
For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
