My lessons combine different methodologies from world-renowned musicians that I have learned from. I listen carefully to your goals and desires and make complex problems simple, with easy to follow ideas, tips and exercises. I work with you to come up with fun creative ways of improving technique, for example strength across the registers, good breathing, musicality and quality of sound. The main priority is to help you connect to your core sound, which is unique to you.

I offer professional Brass instruments (Bariton, Tenorhorn, Euphonium, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba) lessons for children from the age of four, for teenagers and adults. Whether beginner or advanced, that doesn't matter to me. Every motivated student of trumpets is welcome with me. I see it as my job to promote the particular character of each student. Playing the trumpet is an art that is difficult to explain. To become a good Brass player, you need more than “just” to master your instrument. Practice is a basic requirement. Young Brass students, children in particular need the support and support of their parents in the learning process, but the joy in the practice lessons should not be left behind. The focus of my lessons is on conveying musical understanding, sound technology and music literature from classical to klezmer to jazz. Elements such as transpose, orchestral replacement and sight reading are also taken into account in the lessons. I accompany the students as they prepare for competitions and auditions. I am happy to support you in improving your stage presence. I offer one-on-one and two-on-one classes. I teach the pocket trumpet for children. HI! I am Lenart and I am currently a student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have been playing the trumpet for more than 15 years and have experience in many different music genres like Jazz, Pop, Classical, Baroque. I graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. I used to do a lot of teaching (young to old) when I was still residing in Slovenia. My desired goal as a teacher is to show you an easy and fun way to master a new skill or some new aspects of it, but not to fill your head with unnecessary things that will make your progress hard and slow.

I have studied with some of the biggest names of classical and jazz trumpet worldwide like: Omar Tomasoni, Miroslav Petkov, Reinhold Friedrich, Chris Colleti and many more.

A bit about me: I have 2 Bachelor's degrees from the Portuguese National Orchestra Academy (Lisbon) and The Royal Conservatory of the Hague, and a Master's from the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany). I have played with orchestras in Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal, including Rotterdam Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Weimar, Staatskapelle Halle, Phion, Noord Nederlands Orkest and many others. Since 2017, I am a member of the Amsterdam-based, Intercontinental Ensemble. We perform concerts regularly throughout the Netherland and have released 3 CDs. With piano lessons, we do a combination of note reading, music theory, improvising and with horn lessons we work on breathing and other technical aspects of brass playing. I believe that one of the most important aspects of being a teacher is developing my students’ confidence as well as developing their ability to step out of their comfort zone.
