Singing for me is what makes me the happiest when I'm dealing with too much work or stress. It is really fun, and you can not imagine how much you can develop and learn from your voice.

My name is Adi, I'm 18 years old. I live in Lausanne and I'm a music lover like you! I've been breathing music from a really small age. Till now and forevermore. I play the piano, the accordion and I sing every second I can. I've been in the conservatory of music experiencing a choir for the past 10 years in Lausanne Switzerland. I also have great ears and I can play all songs just by listening but I'm also very confident with reading music.

I really recommend trying this beautiful experience for all the music lovers out there. I hope I will be your teacher. I offer singing and music theory lessons for all ages, from beginners to people wishing to join professional singing classes.
and this in various styles of music, from opera to variety through traditional singing, pop music and Gregorian chant.

I also practice vocal coaching for actors, teachers, lawyers ... or anyone else who wants it.

My pedagogy develops first of all on the work of the body with exercises that are inspired by Qi-Qong, Yoga or even the martial arts that I have practiced for more than fifteen years.
These are great ways to develop the muscles necessary for the proper functioning of the voice and breath.
Then, the work of the voice is exercised with a multitude of simple vocalizations to speak and sing with the most ease and the least effort possible.
This can be applied to any style of vocal music since the basis remains the same: voice and body.

I have practiced lyric singing as a tenor for many years already. I started my studies in France at the National School of Music in Villeurbanne
before finishing my training in Switzerland with the Swiss tenor Jörg Dürmuller. Today I have a master's degree in opera at the Haute Ecole des Arts in Bern.
I regularly perform on stage at the opera or in concert, in Switzerland and abroad.

Program

Developing your voice, your ear, controlling your breath, improving your posture and gaining self-confidence: singing is certainly one of the most complete musical fields. By singing, the artist opens completely, he strips himself of all artifice and shares with his public an intimate moment, in the greatest honesty.

Objectives and skills

The singing lessons allow to develop the voice pose, the development of the artistic personality, the vocal technique and the development of the voice through various styles. Learn to master the head voice, chest voice and mixed voice as well as the various types of voice: belting, saturated voice, falsetto, ... in order to be comfortable in the different styles.

The body plays a central role in the singing technique. Thus, bodily and sensory work in space and, for some, the development of bodily presence on stage, are themes addressed during the lessons. We will also work on the ear, the accuracy and the improvement of the rhythm, as well as improvisation and song creation for advanced students who want it.

With Apolline, music theory is integrated into the instrument lesson, sparingly and in a manner consistent with the subject studied by the child. Thus, theory sticks to practice and becomes digestible and interesting.

How to leave the usually rigid framework of the first years of musical learning that is found in most schools in Switzerland?

Based in Lausanne, Apolline has a different philosophy. Rather than offering children and adolescents to learn in individual lessons, lessons in small groups - from 2 to 3 students, depending on the instrument - are highlighted. Working in a group offers many advantages to beginners or inexperienced students.

Apolline offers her students the possibility of joining a group workshop, in addition to the basic instrument course, so that they can play with other musicians of their age. Accompanied by a teacher, they will learn to play in groups, through covers or their own compositions.

In my teaching I try as much as possible to follow the path that the student wants to lead. Before even starting the course we will agree on the purpose of the course and the path to take.

In my approach to singing I focus a lot on the body, breathing and their coordination.
This means, to start with information about the body, its functionality and also the corresponding exercises.
I prefer to act slowly in my teaching - with an adapted repertoire, and exercises that warm the voice gently.
My 17 years of piano lessons allow me afterwards to accompany you, which gives a complete musical experience.

I teach with a solid classical base (position, left/right hand technique) while giving the student basics of harmony (chords, song accompaniment), improvisation (scales, blues, etc.) and solo (polyphonic) or duo pieces. I am open to all proposals from the student.
