Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Student at the Lausanne music school, I offer guitar, bass or saxophone lessons.
My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach.
I followed a classical conservatory course in guitar and saxophone, then I turned to writing, jazz and contemporary music.
I am currently studying Jazz Bass, classical double bass and jazz piano at the Lausanne High School of Music (HEMU).
At the same time, I worked as a teacher and researcher in acoustics in different universities.
During my lessons, I guide the student through a progressive and structured educational approach while guiding him or her in learning pieces that correspond to their objectives. I offer a lot of duets to raise awareness about listening and playing together. Finally, I try to transmit a musical sensitivity that will allow the student to flourish in various musical contexts.

I offer support courses in mathematics in Lausanne and the surrounding area. Passionate about teaching, I have experience that extends from secondary/gymnasium levels, where I guided students as a private math/physics teacher, to university, where I been a teacher at bachelor's, master's and engineering school levels in a Parisian University. These teaching experiences at very varied levels help me to form a global vision of learning. Concerning my career, I completed a master's degree in engineering sciences at Sorbonne University, which I completed with a master's degree in sciences applied to music then a doctorate in acoustics and audio signal processing. My career as an engineer specializing in acoustics and artificial intelligence allowed me to experience mathematics in concrete applications on a daily basis. Currently returning to studies to also become a professional musician and music teacher, I offer private lessons in math and/or music (guitar/saxophone), which will allow me to finance my new studies at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne . I am always delighted to support students in a stimulating and enriching learning environment.

Guitar workshops: personalized lessons / private training
Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (…). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points: -Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear - Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords - Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand - Learning of different pieces of your choice - Left hand control exercises, speed and precision - Learning arpeggios - Work around muscle memory - Learning improvisation, musical play with others - Ear training: use your ears to find chords, melodies, sounds and techniques used -Spend a pleasant moment of exchange, without unnecessary institutional pressure, while obtaining concrete results -Understand and discover the many facets of an exciting and user-friendly instrument - Benefit from personalized advice on your posture and certain pitfalls to avoid when starting alone -Adjust and clarify your self-taught knowledge - Learn tablatures / tabs & in English. Note : - Possibility to use the guitar available on site, during the test phase. - As our teacher is also a singing teacher, it is possible to combine the two disciplines: guitar + vocal instrument, and to work on synchronization, style and accuracy. - Possibility of offering this course (birthday, party, Christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice. THE TEACHER : Trained in Grande Ecole post-preparatory classes & Ivy League university in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 15 years, in Europe and North America, in the field, in renowned international public and private establishments, with careful pedagogy and methodology as the watchwords. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.

Piano, guitar and theory of music lessons for beginners and intermediate players
As a Master’s student in medical biology, I have been playing piano and guitar for 18 years. I can explain to you the musical theory that allows you to understand a piece on which you want to improvise or to understand the idea behind the composition of a piece. I can find you the chords of any song or piece and I have examples of songs whose chords search is particularly interesting. I can teach you classical music and jazz. I use a piano that provides an automated and complete accompaniment, that is to say that we can play as with a band with a drummer and musicians of any style. This is very convenient. I also have recordings of impro funk or hip-hop patterns that are what you might call "fire" to learn to improvise with pleasure. I took classes at the school of jazz and current music for about ten years and had some bands, concerts and jams at the university. I was also a member of the Lausanne University Choir. For many years, I made self-taught classical music in parallel with jazz lessons.

Music - Guitar and musical knowledge: music theory, harmony and style
Guitar lessons: the mandate of a guitar teacher is defined by being methodical, that is to say having an exact knowledge of the specifications: practice of playing with both hands, musical reading, knowledge of music theory , harmony… so many criteria which moreover participate in a meeting, that between the person who proposes and the one who wishes to emancipate himself by an instrument specific to individual expression.

Guitar lessons all styles, children and adults, in electric, folk and nylon.
I give guitar lessons in the Lausanne region! Coming from EJMA and HEMU schools, I had the chance to benefit from more than 13 years of practice with this instrument and offer personalized, creative and fun training. Beginner, intermediate or advanced, I can pass on the knowledge and practice necessary for a fulfilling musical life to you! Fresh from the benches of the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU), graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, I also have a solid stage experience acquired through more than 500 concerts given throughout Europe. Guitarist, keyboardist, author, producer, remixer, I took pleasure in sharing my knowledge through several years of individual or group teaching and pay particular attention to the fiber of each person with whom I work.

Classical guitar and music theory lessons by a qualified teacher from the Conservatory
Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses. Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels). My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing. Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique. The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible. I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar. Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality. References on request Follow up by email/phone as needed between lessons. Examples of pieces you will be able to play after a year: works by Bach, Giuliani, Fernando Sor, Carcassi, Aguado, Jeux Interdits, baroque flamenco, romantic works
