• General English for adults.
We can prepare for your dream holiday, work on your favourite songs, speak about sport etc. Lesson materials will be adapted to your needs and hobbies.

• Business English for adults including preparation for interviews, meetings, presentation. We will discuss what you would like to have in your course. I also obtained experience in event and conference management industry and have a lot of related skills to share.

• Homework support for children and teens
Doing homework will not be hard any more! I studied English myself at school and university and can give your children tips and a lot of support. I will help them to be more engaged. Learning language can be fun!

Online lessons can be given via Skype.
Offline lessons can be held in Noord-Holland in a café or library upon agreement (Hoofddorp, Heemstede, Haarlem, Amsterdam etc.)

Hello everyone!

My name is Elena and I am an enthusiastic language teacher.
Teaching is my passion.

I believe that a new language can open many doors in the world and give more opportunities to travel, work and make new friends. I simply met my Dutch husband because I can speak English fluently!

I am a polyglot who speaks 5 languages (English, Russian, French, Spanish, Dutch). I studied in England and Russia where I obtained Cambridge CELTA qualification to teach English and a Russian teaching diploma at Lomonosov Moscow State University. I would be happy to help you to open new horizons and work on your language skills :) :)

• General Russian for beginners.
I will help you to make first steps in this exiting journey. We will speak Russian starting from the first lesson! Styding Russian can be interesting!

• Conversational Russian for intermediate and advanced students.
We will speak about various topics to keep up with the level and have decent speaking practice. We will discuss vocabulary and expressions that are new for you.

Online lessons can be given via Skype.

If you want to learn grammar or master your letter writing or comprehension skills, we will work on that. In case you want to maintain the level of your understanding and oral abilities, we will improve that.

There isn't a better way to teach your child a new language than through playing. My job is to introduce the English, French, or Arabic language while your child is discovering and learning to make sense of the world around them. Through play, children have more capacity to develop linguistic, social, and communication skills, and gain the self-confidence they need.
My job is to play with the child while using the new language vocabulary; as an example, we can play the Zoo game and learn the names of the animals, the noise they make, the food they consume, and where they live in the wild.
While we play, we can use toys, pictures, songs, videos, and house objects such as fruits and vegetables.
We can play inside or outside in a safe environment.
I have a program that I developed to help my child learn a language and have fun at the same time. It consists of games, reading books, and role-playing in different themes such as ( Food, Animals, Numbers, Alphabet, Colors, Geography, Nature, Technology, Outfits... )
This program can be discussed and edited by the parent according to their child's needs and level.

Learning languages are always more fun when involving an interaction based on personal interests! That's why I could take a more conventional approach to teaching but I prefer an interactive engaging type of class. I'm of mixed French and Polish origins and I've been living in Paris for many years. I hold a PhD degree in French Literature from Sorbonne University and I've been teaching French and English since 2013. During my class, you will learn how to communicate effectively - and in order to speak, you'll need to practice! I have a passion for French culture, literature, music, film and theatre, and I believe that it's through culture and experiencing the language directly in everyday life that you really immerse yourself in a language. I train also for exams and DELF/DALF. Apart from this, I work as a tour guide specialised in French medieval architecture and a week-end trip to Paris (sightseeing included!) can be planned during the course to immerse in French language, cinema, food and beautiful Parisian museums. Practicing French in French boulangeries, restaurants and bookshops in Amsterdam can be planned as well. If you're interested in more than practicing speaking and pronunciation skills, we can alternate the grammar/writing classes (held at home) and conversation classes (held anywhere!).
