Hey, My name is Jasper and besides guitar lessons I also give private lessons in solfège! For me it is important that you can develop your music knowledge in a motivating private lesson where the focus is on your interests. In these lessons we can go through all the principles of music theory, from learning to read your first notes to chord theory to scales and beyond. The lessons are for students of all ages and all levels. I myself studied at the conservatory in Rotterdam and in Ghent and have been active as a professional musician for several years. I have 10 years of experience as a private teacher. Lessons take place in Gentbrugge near the Keizerpark. We can determine the exact time of the lesson together. All very flexible. Hello, my name is Silvia! I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent. I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career. I am aware that each student deserves a personal teaching approach, shaped on his/her own nature and attitude. I will help students strengthen and consolidate their technical skills on the instrument, but we will also have a lot of fun in playing music! Provided I follow my master's diploma tuba (euphonium), master percussion as well as master trombone, I can teach different instruments. During the lessons there is the choice to implement solfège or to keep only the instrument technical. I work very constructively and I like to listen to the wishes / goals of the student. I've spent my whole live practicing and playing cello and I can assure it's one of the most marvelous things one can do. Even if you struggle! I can teach either beginners or amateurs who want to get better at it, or higher level students who want to perfect their craft. Also, if you are somebody thinking about starting with this instrument, do not have any doubt! I base myself on the teachings received from my teachers during all my years of study, in which I have always been especially interested in the importance of the figure of the teacher for the healthy development of students. I adapt to the technical and musical needs of each student, even if we start from 0, without prior musical knowledge. Learning to practice an instrument well is very important. I really value this very much in my lessons. From the moment one can practice well, it progresses much faster, so that you also prefer to play. I started quite late, so I had to catch up a lot in a short time. In the beginning it progressed quickly, but as the pieces got more difficult I needed new practice techniques. I practiced so badly and that is very demotivating over time. I eventually learned to practice well by asking a lot of different people for help and now I'm making faster and faster progress. I would really like to share this info, so I think I have something to offer for young and old, even if I haven't been doing it that long.

I have been drumming for sixteen years and I play/have played in a drum band, a youth orchestra, a big band, a rock band and in cover bands. I have a secondary education teacher's diploma for the subjects of English, biology and music. In this training I learned the necessary didactic principles of good teaching.

My name is Irene, I started my career as a cellist in the south of Spain, between Andalusia and Murcia, where I did my bachelor's degree in cello performance. Later I moved to Belgium to continue my studies, where I studied the Master in Classical Music (cello performance) at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent. I have been teaching cello for 8 years both in Spanish and English to all ages and levels, combining my teaching activity with the interpretative improvement of my instrument. I have collaborated with numerous national orchestras and I have received master classes from great cellists at an international level. In Belgium, I currently collaborate with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders and the Chamber Orchestra of Flanders, among others.
