Hi, I'm Caitlin, I was raised bilingually and grew up in Amsterdam. Half my family is from the Netherlands and the other half from South-Africa. Therefore I'm a native speaker in both Dutch and English. Let me help you prepare for your new job, your children with learning English for the first time or if you just feel like becoming a more fluent speaker of English! Let's look at your interests together and I will design our classes so that we discuss topics, articles and other items that are of interest to you! Besides teaching English I have a lot of experience in teaching private violin lessons to both children and adults. I'm a patient teacher that will take the time to walk you through all the steps!

Hi, I'm Caitlin, I'm a professional violinist and violin teacher. I play in orchestras and ensembles and have been teaching the violin as well for the past two years. I learned how to teach violin from the best and will be able to guide you or your child towards a good level of playing. If you are at a more advanced level I can help you develop musically, overcome hurdles and enhance the joy of playing as well as prepare for conservatoire studies. In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. In the first session, we always do a needs analysis and become acquainted, to make sure we click as people and will enjoy working away at your personal language goals.

Over the years, my classes, have proven to raise the confidence levels of students. We practice knowledge in English, on 4 levels of proficiency: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
