After graduating from the academy, I had the chance to study with Mr. Benderski, a talented Ukrainian teacher, to improve my skills. During the last 10 years, I have also played in various music groups, which has allowed me to develop a versatile approach to the instrument. I love working with children and helping adults improve. My teaching method is based on understanding and listening to the needs of each student. I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment so that my students feel comfortable and progress at their own pace. In addition to teaching classical repertoire, I am also proficient in jazz improvisation. I have played a lot of gypsy jazz on my travels, which has allowed me to develop skills in improvisation and jazz style. I am happy to share my passion and my knowledge in this field with my students. When I asked my two teenagers (19 & 17) what their favorite part of our recent month in Spain was, both of them independently said that their Spanish lessons with Miguel were a highlight. We are complete beginners as native English speakers from Australia and we all had a lot of fun learning from Miguel as a family. We met in the relaxed atmosphere of a lovely café in Russafa. He showed up prepared for lessons and happily answered the many questions my son and daughter had - not just about language but also about Spanish culture. He helped us distinguish between different types / localities when it comes to Spanish. He built our confidence to use what we had learned. He practised with us as we learned. And he encouraged our curiosity. Miguel is a lovely, kind man and we look forward to continuing our lessons with him online now that we are back in Aus. Son, 17 - "He made it fun to learn" Daughter, 19 - “The lessons were super fun and I was always looking forward to going to them and learning more. I wish we had been able to do more lessons while we were there”.

Julien helped me learn the material for my university statistics exams. He was very patient and gave very clear explanations about the concepts we were discussing. He was friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. He prepared material in advance for each lesson depending on my personal needs. I'm pleased to say he helped me succeed in my final exams despite the fact that I'd never really studied statistics before! I am very glad I chose him as my tutor and I recommend him to anyone else seeking mathematics or statistics tutoring, whether in person or remotely.

It is such a pleasure to learn French from Cécile! The lessons are tailor fit to your needs, interests and learning style. She challenges you every time with texts that broaden your vocabulary and deepen your understanding of the French language and culture. Cécile is also funny and caring, which is a plus when you are learning something difficult. While learning another language can feel overwhelming, she is always patient and encouraging. I would recommend to anyone to receive lessons from her.
