Hello ! My name is Julia and I am a master's student in Engineering at EPFL. Do you have difficulty in certain scientific subjects, such as maths, chemistry or physics? I am here for this ! Whether you are a pupil or student (school and university level), we can face these difficulties together. I am available to give online courses, on the EPFL campus or directly at your home.

I am a student at EPFL and I had my baccalaureate in mathematical science (the most difficult option in Morocco) with honors, then I did a preparation in France in MP in Paris then I changed for the EPFL in which I am a bachelor in communication systems. I will be able to simplify the notions of the course as much as possible so that the student will master them, once this is acquired, we can attack different targeted exercises. I review the program with the student, target his difficulties and take the time to work on them so that he can fill in his gaps and move forward confidently. My goal is to promote autonomy and the acquisition of knowledge, so that he has all the keys in hand for the future.

Trusted teacher

I am in the first year of physics at EPFL. I am available almost every day until late at night and even on Sundays. I speak English and French. I have already given math lessons online which allows me to have experience with private lessons.

Maths and physics are among the branches that divide students the most. However I am convinced that it is possible to reconcile them with their refractories by providing a personalized and pragmatic pedagogy, while linking the subject to other branches to anchor them in a general knowledge. Thus these courses given at home are personally adapted to each student according to his affinities and his goals.

Trusted teacher

According to the level of the pupil we look together at his difficulties and the different methods to help him / her to be able to do activities related to the subject discussions with the parents before and / or after the class to see the evolution of the young person and how was the course

I am currently a student at the University of Lausanne, Faculty of Social Sciences. After 4 years of working with children, I can say that I am calm and patient but persevering. I pledge to accompany your child (ren) according to your requests and, as far as possible, set up exercises to test the understanding of my students. I am flexible at the subject level to work. In the case where the student has to revise a subject outside my field of knowledge (like German or physics), I can work on my side a week in advance to be able to accompany him correctly. Note that I have basic knowledge in these subjects, they have simply not been implemented for two years.

First-year student at EPFL offers private lessons in Cycle / Secondary Mathematics until the end of the course in order to prepare well for exams.

Currently at the end of the Master's degree in Finance, I offer mathematics courses ranging from gymnasium to HEC. Opportunity to see mathematics used in finance. My goal is to help students overcome these difficulties and help them understand mathematical concepts.

I am in my third year of mathematics at EPFL. I am available almost all week. I am fluent in Dutch, French and English. I already have experience with private lessons that I gave for two years in Maths, Physics, Latin, English and French to high school students. I am also an assistant in Maths (Analysis, Algebra) and Physics at EPFL for first year students. I am therefore able to give lessons / support for all levels.

Trusted teacher

Student in Master of Bioengineering at EPFL, I propose to support your children if they have difficulties in science or in any subject. Assistant for the advanced general chemistry course as well as a more engineering-oriented course (signals and systems) at EPFL, I am used to teaching in order to help the student progress and make him autonomous. I regularly give private lessons but am also used to group of students. I would be happy to help your child better understand a subject in which he is having difficulty!

Trusted teacher

I finished my Doctorate in Physics at EPFL and now I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English to secondary I and secondary II students. I offer personalized support for each student, while considering their objectives. I help students in difficulty to pass their exams, but also those who want to reach a level of excellence and perhaps go a little beyond the school curricula. The courses will be adapted to each individual case. I prioritize comprehension to the detriment of memorization and I help students develop their mathematical / scientific reasoning, in order to make them more autonomous. As important as transmitting knowledge is to share passion through science.

3rd year student at EPFL in Communication Systems (computer science), I teach mathematics and computer science around Ecublens or online. I can help the student with his homework, understand his lesson or even provide lessons/exercises at EPFL level. If you have specific requests, do not hesitate to contact me!

In mathematics I resume the course by asking questions to the student to see if everything has been understood, otherwise I explain the concepts that are not understood. When we move on to the exercises I let the student try to see where his mistakes and gaps are and I give him the necessary tools to solve problems. In physics I concentrate a little more on the theory which is more difficult to understand then I proceed in the same way as in math for the exos.

As a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at EPFL, and holder of a Bachelor's degree in the same discipline, I have acquired a solid mastery of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. My academic background has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts as well as experience in their practical application. I offer courses tailored to students up to high school level, whether to reinforce the basics, prepare for exams, or delve deeper into certain topics. My goal is to make science accessible and motivating, helping each student progress at their own pace. During the lessons, we will work together to understand key concepts and put them into practice through a variety of exercises. I place great importance on personalized support, so that the student gains confidence, autonomy, and develops an effective working method.

Currently finishing my master's degree in Computer Science at EPFL, I am offering readings from beginners to advanced in Mathematics (calculus, algebra, geometry, statistics ...) and Programming / Computer Science (Languages: C / C ++, Python, Java, Scala, R ..., Algorithms, Paradigms ...). I also teach high school Physics and Chemistry. I want to experience personalized and integrated knowledge and deep knowledge and solidify knowledge and motivation for science. Currently in the final year of a Master's degree in Computer Science at EPFL, I propose courses of support and deepening for all levels in Mathematics (algebra, analysis, arithmetic, geometry, statistics ...), Physics as well as Computer Science and Programming. Pedagogue and motivated, I aspire to transmit passion and knowledge through a personalized and attentive education.

Student in Geosciences and Environment, I offer individualized lessons in mathematics, especially at gymnasium level. I can help fill in any gaps in the different areas of the branch (algebra, analysis, geometry). I can adapt my way of giving my lessons according to the level of difficulty :)

Trusted teacher

I offer support courses in mathematics or science. The idea is to work to achieve an objective with the student: preparation for a test, maturity, entry to EPFL or UNIL, etc... Depending, I would suggest reviewing concepts and doing exercises that I would suggest.

the basic sciences (mathematics and physics) are sciences which at first glance seem very difficult, but with work, method and a close approximation between reality and these abstract sciences facilitates the comprehension of many students. This course has been designed in the easiest and most practical way possible to assure you of your understanding.

Trusted teacher

I propose to give math and/or physics lessons to students with difficulties in these subjects. I can help with the resolution of exercises or the explanation of the course. I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL in 2021 and 2023 respectively. I am ready to share with passion the knowledge I acquired during my 5 years at EPFL, while following a personalized learning pace adapted to each person. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information!
