Welcome to my profile! My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music. As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals. In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances. I began my musical journey with El Sistema in Venezuela and continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, specializing in both performance and pedagogy. I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance with a focus on Spanish music, as well as a symphonic master’s in collaboration with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (Orquesta RTVE). I currently collaborate with the Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching private violin and viola lessons. I believe that discipline and enjoyment go hand in hand, and I enjoy guiding each student in their artistic and personal growth.

Trusted teacher: Hi! I am a violinist currently studying at the University of Southampton. I offer violin lessons and grade 5 theory tutoring across wide levels no matter a beginner, preparing for 1 - 8 grade exams, working towards GCSE practical exams, or just learning for some fun! I specialise in helping students progress through ABRSM grades and Grade 5 Theory as well as GCSE practical exams. I hold a performance diploma for violin (ARSM) and have achieved distinction in ABRSM grade 8 violin. Academically, I achieved GCSE music Grade 9, A-level music A* in performance and composing, A in appraising. Outside of my academic life, I have performed as a first violinist in youth orchestras as well as being the concert master in inter school orchestra (ISSP). Moreover I have had experience playing as a wedding violinist and gained extensive solo recital and chamber performance experience being in quartets. My teaching focuses on clear and measurable progress that are applicable in exams especially in core techniques: posture, bowing, intonation and musical interpretation. My teaching style is not not strict nor textbook like, I prioritise engagement with students, tailoring on what your goals of learning are, exploring different repertoires, playing styles and practice methods that works the best for you. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. I recently started taking violin lessons from Christian. As someone who has 0 experience with the violin, or any other instrument for that matter, I was a bit nervous but excited. Despite my total lack of experience, Christian is incredibly patient, he never rushes me and always takes the time to answer my questions, no matter how basic. We started with the absolute basics, which is exactly what I needed. He finds a way to explain complicated things in a way that makes sense to me, which makes the whole process less intimidating. His teaching style is perfect for someone like me, coming into music with no background. I wholeheartedly recommend Christian to anyone who's been thinking about picking up the violin! His patience, expertise, insightfulness and supportive nature have made my start in music both enjoyable and fulfilling. Bonus points for speaking English.
