I am a widely published poet and experienced and knowledgeable teacher willing to give poetry classes at any level, whether you are struggling to write your first poem or are assembling a first collection. My approach is constructive, friendly and approachable.
I listen to the needs of my students in our first lesson, and will propose a plan of lessons based on what you hope to achieve. This may include setting prompts, tasks, and exercises, going through your writing, suggesting extra reading, and giving constructive feedback.

Proofing and Proof reading, academic writing, personal statements.

I will give one-to-one tuition on academic writing, helping students and writers to bring their pieces to a high standard: appropriate for personal statements, coursework essays, dissertations, and exam preparation. I will coach in syntax, vocabulary, paragraphs and structure.

Philosophy follows wisdom. This class will explore a panorama of philosophical texts through the poetic diction of stories and myths. Offering close-readings and lectures from Heraclitus to Shakespeare, Kierkegaard to Ávila, students are invited to engage and formulate new ideas. Personal requests are very welcome in consultation.
