I specialize in tutoring violin for the beginning to intermediate student. My goal is to make learning the violin fun and effective. I assign music to practice after each lesson.

This class is for any student who wants to learn how to play the violin in a fun and non-threatening manner. The only requirements is that the student practices at least 20 to 30 minutes a day..

For lessons, you will have to rent a violin or buy one. I recommend renting a violin from either Beacocks music or Kennedy's violins in Vancouver. Also, a shoulder rest is helpful for aiding in holding the violin.

I am 57 years old. I have a wealth of experience to offer. I have played in numerous orchestra's over the years. I have experience teaching both the very young and also, adult students. I have been told that I have an incredible amount of patience and that I am a very good communicator.

studied music at Portland State University. I studied violin under the direction of Carol Sindell who is a well known violinist in the Portland, Oregon area. She performs with the Florestan Trio.

I have been teaching violin lessons for 5 years. I have been a member of the Vancouver Symphony for 16 years. I have played in the Oregon Ballet Theatre Orchestra, the Columbia Symphony and the Newport Symphony over the years.
