About Me

My name is John , currently living in Greece.
My work experience includes work as a project manager and a high school Mathematics teacher at Saint Andrews Academy of Holly Cross, at Whitestone, in New York, USA. Also, in Greece, initially, I worked as a lecturer of Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics and Quantitative methods as well as an administrator, holding the positions of Departmental head and Assistant dean of the Business Department, in Southeastern College, for seven years, in Athens. Then, I have worked as a lecturer in Management, Marketing and Quantitative Methods and as a dean of studies for six years, in MAC & Parsers School of liberal studies, in Greece. Meanwhile, I worked as a lecturer and Senior lecturer at the University of Indianapolis, at the Athens Campus, Greece. In addition, I have worked for sixteen years at the IB Department of Athens/Psychico College as an IB Business and Management teacher, IGCSE Business and Mathematics teacher (IB Math and SAT Math), for nine years at Ι.Μ. Panagiotopoulos as an IB Business and Management teacher and at the international school of Athens (ISA) for three years as an IB Business and Management teacher, and I am currently an IB Business Management teacher since 2014 at Ionios IB School, in Athens, Greece. In addition, I have taught at different vocational institutes in Greece, delivered IGCSE and GCE Business studies for 5 years and I have delivered in-company seminars focusing on productivity, human resources Management and entrepreneurship while I am a moderator for the subject of Business and Management (IB) since 1997. Above all, I have worked as an online tutor with Elite IB tutors for more than four years, not only helping students in their IB extended essay, and their internal assessment but also, I have provided online lessons, preparing students for tests, giving and correcting homework assignments, explaining material that students have a gap, going over past papers and preparing students for the final Business Management exam.
Finally, I have worked as a special advisor to the Deputy Minister of Tourism, in Greece, for a year and I act as an advisor to small and medium sized businesses since 2000, in Athens, Greece. I hold two Masters Degrees, one In Industrial Engineering (1985) and one in Operations Research (1985) from the Polytechnic Institute of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics (1985) from Queens College of the City University of New York, in USA (1982).
