About Me

I am Italian by birth and have always been passionate about teaching. I studied Psychology for five years at university in Italy, then pursued a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Despite my academic and professional background, teaching has always been a part of me: my mother was an Italian teacher herself, and following in her footsteps, I began giving lessons both during my studies and afterwards. Recently settled in Lausanne, I would like to continue sharing my language and culture, whether with beginners, people wishing to improve their Italian, or students facing learning difficulties. I have also worked with adolescents with diagnosed learning disorders, which allowed me to adapt my methods to very diverse profiles. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.
