I’m a homeschool teacher living in NW10 with over 25 years teaching experience. I’ve been working with homeschooled children for the past 10 years. I see children individually and in small groups providing fun, interactive, creative lessons that follow the national curriculum. Classes available in person or online. 11plus and GCSE tutoring also available.

These activities may include reading and analysing literature, writing essays and creative pieces, participating in discussions and debates, and delivering presentations. Grammar, vocabulary, and language conventions are also taught to ensure students have a strong foundation in English language usage. The objectives of an English class extend beyond language skills. It aims to foster critical thinking, cultural awareness, and empathy through the exploration of diverse texts and perspectives. Students are encouraged to express their thoughts and opinions, engage in collaborative learning, and develop their own unique writing style. In KS2 pupils learn to write more fluently, using different forms like poems, stories, and reports. Students also start to think more about the meaning of words and how language can be used to have an effect on the audience or reader. There is also a focus on learning more complex grammar and spelling.

I`m a fully qualified teacher achieving my Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2016. I have a positive outlook on teaching and learning and I’m a calm, friendly, and approachable teacher. My core priority is to bring out the best in all students and to do this a child`s relationship with learning needs to be positive. To develop this I incorporate growth mindset methods within my teaching, which means I praise the way your child approaches a challenge — not just the end result. I also work hard to build a child’s confidence through my positive teaching approach. This involves appropriate pace, clear examples and explanations, and suitable amounts of practice.

Since the Gymnasium I give tutoring Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Latin and language courses Latin languages Portuguese Spanish French and Italian from basic or beginner level to Gymnasium level. For primary school students also arithmetic for example with fractions and percentages and all other modules. Also Dutch grammar and spelling.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels.
