This is because the themes and traits of character in these books reflect humanity to be more relatable to readers. The skills that are often taught in Literature classes are academic writing, analyzing books & their meanings, and writing essays.

As a college student who is currently majoring in English & Comparative Literature, I understand and utilize these skills in my college endeavors.
