As a French art history student in the Netherlands, I offer courses in the disciplines I specialize in: French and art history. I have completed my academic career as I am in M2 this year!

Thanks to my literary background I am used to teaching French to all levels and ages: beginners or advanced! During our lessons we will discuss grammar and vocabulary as well as French culture.
That's why I also offer art history classes (in French or English): we can either focus on learning about the art of a specific period or combine learning French and art history by doing art history classes in French on French art! It's a very fun way to learn this language that can sometimes be scary.

My name is Marine. I graduated from the École du Louvre and am now in my second year of a Master's degree in art history applied to collections, still at the École du Louvre but during an Erasmus year at the University of Leiden.

I would like to do a doctorate after my master's degree before taking the competitive examination for the INP to become a heritage curator.

I have always loved to study but also to share my knowledge with others, that's why I regularly give courses in France and that I am now trying in the Netherlands!

I lived in Luxembourg where I attended the European School of Luxembourg II where I studied French, Spanish, English, and Italian as well as Economics for four years. Living in Luxembourg gave me the opportunity to learn and speak many different languages fluently since it is a multicultural country.

I have been a French tutor for more than 2 years to students with all levels. I adapt to my student(s) objectives and personalize my lessons to their goals and interests. For example, I have had students take lessons because they want to visit a French speaking country, want to study for exams or to make their conversations sound more like a native speaker. Prior to each lesson, I prepare documents and exercises. I can teach grammar, vocabulary and reading but I mainly focus on conversational skills by making my classes interactive. Most people need to revise the basics of language over and over again in order to master it, and having a good knowledge of how the language works at its core, i.e. its grammar, will help improve one's language skills drastically.
I think the best way of learning a language is by familiarizing yourself with it. I therefore like to conduct my lessons mainly in the target language. Moreover, I will tailor my lesson to the students' needs, a language has 4 core parts (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), and each of us has different strong points and weaknesses when it comes to expressing ourselves in a second language.
I will ways try to keep a relaxed learning environment where the student feels comfortable learning and making mistakes.
