I enjoy cooking, painting, traveling, reading, and yoga. My lessons are extremely well planned and organized so there’s no time wasted and I enjoy forming a trusting relationship with my students. When students trust their teacher they feel free to ask questions and know that it’s okay to ask the same question repeatedly until they fully understand.
Another important feature of my lessons is the quality of my follow-up reviews. My reviews are meticulous, complete with footnotes that offer supplementary information. Because of my detailed feedback students not only learn during my lesson, but after it as well. I’m so happy to know that some of my students print out my reviews and keep them in a folder for self-study!
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of my students I’ve met during my teaching career. They always make me laugh, feel warm inside, and motivate me to become a better teacher. I am a female native Korean speaker in 30's living and working in Dublin. I born and grew up in Seoul, a capital of Korea. I moved to Dublin 2 years ago and I have my day to day job but in the meantime, I would like to help people who are interested in Korean langauge or culture.

I would love to help you on learning Korean and introducing you Korean culture! Depending on what you would like to know, I shall be able to help you on many things.

I speak English and Japanese fluently (over business level) and Chinese as upper intermediate. I know how difficult to learn the new language, and I think the best way worked out for me was to exposed to the language more often and use it as a tool to achieve something (e.g. friendship)

Spanish is a language that is increasingly required for professional jobs, as well as for travelling and living abroad. I want to help people who are currently living in a Spanish-speaking country or who will be moving in the future, or are simply interested in learning the language. From learning the basics one needs to know to defend oneself, to reaching a fluent and confident level of Spanish in any situation. During my classes we will talk about different topics guided by a book, but also about casual day to day conversations. Currently living in Dublin.

I'm based in Blackrock. My lessons are face-to-face at a cafe in Blackrock or at my student's home (when it's not too far from Blackrock/Stillorgan) as I'm learning to drive and have young kids. Online lessons are available if students wish to practice speaking rather than learning grammar or working on a textbook. I can also teach Shodo(Japanese Calligraphy), Origami, and how to make karaage, teriyaki dishes and matcha desserts.

My availability changes every week except a 7-8pm slot (I'm available from 7-8pm every week except Monday) due to my husband's work schedule.
I have 3-4 days every week where I'm available from 2pm onwards. (Some week I'm available from Fri to Mon, other week I'm available from Tue to Thurs). I'm also available from 10:00-12:00 on weekdays.

I teach all ages and all levels (including Leaving Cert students).
I have 5 years one-on-one teaching experience (in Japan, Australia and Ireland) with adults, teens and kids.

I come from a Linguistic background (I have a degree in English Linguistics), which not many tutors actually do, but having the knowledge is extremely important when it comes to learning a language because the difficulties you face are often due to what your native language is and the difference between your native language and the language you are learning.
Before I started university, I wasn't confident in my English skills though I was always getting good grades at school. Being immersed into Linguistics taught me the whole new perspectives.

I offer advice and recommendations, but I usually let my students pick textbooks as every student has different preferences and goals.

Lessons can be tailored to meet individual requirements/requests.

I also offer my students translation/interpreting/proofreading services too should they need them.
