About Me:
I am a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate student at King's College London. I have acquired a 9 in GCSE Maths (2022) an A in A-Level Normal Maths (2023/24) and an A in A-Level Further Maths (2024). My experience includes weekly mentoring to Year 7-9 students at my high school. I enjoy helping others get comfortable with Maths by practicing logical tricks to tackle any math problem.

Lesson Plan:
My tutor sessions will be tailored to each student, helping them with topics they struggle with. At the end of each week, we can review the topics covered to ensure the student has mastered those skills. My schedule and lesson plans are flexible and can follow the student's learning pace. Sessions will be hosted via Google Meet.

Session Times:
Relatively flexible during the summer, offering 60-minute sessions between 10 am and 8 pm any day of the week. Prices are the same for in-person and online.

Location:
My sessions will be online but can be in person if the student is near West Ealing, London or King Campuses.

I am an undergraduate student at King's College London in Biomedical Engineering who is passionate about helping younger students struggling with maths. I want to show them that this subject isn't as scary as it seems and that anyone can be good at maths.

Je m'appelle Clément, j'ai 21 ans et je suis étudiant en dernière année à Grenoble INP - Ensimag (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées). Je suis cette année en échange universitaire à l'Imperial College à Londres.

Les séances seront divisées en 2 parties. Une première partie d'assimilation du cours où l'on reverra les définitions et propriétés et où l'on réalisera les exemples basiques. Une seconde partie d'application du cours avec la réalisation d'exercices. A noter que ceci est le déroulement type d'une séance mais celui ci peut être amener à être modifié en fonction du profil de l'élève.

Cela fait désormais 5 ans que je donne des cours particuliers et j'ai donc eu l'occasion de voir de nombreux profils d'élèves me permettant de perfectionner ma pédagogie en fonction de l'élèves. J'ai également était l'année dernière encadrant de mathématiques pour une classe de 30 élèves en première année de prépa scientifique (La Prépa des INP)

Les cours peuvent être dispensé à mon domicile (proche Notting Hill), chez l'élève ou par webcam selon vos préférences.

Je serai disponible entre les séances pour des questions éventuelles sur des exercices ou des DM.

My first key of teaching in both modules is the simplicity because the simple explanation the better understand and facilitate the key areas where students are struggling. Secondly, Identify new processes to teach the necessarily and provide full understanding of the concepts.
I assign homework, activities and games after finishing class to evaluate and revise what we learned previously.

I have gotten A*s in French, German and Maths A Level and am going to study Modern and Medieval Languages (German and ab initio Russian) at the University of Cambridge. I have done some maths tutoring in the past for a Year 4/5 student and a Year 7/8 student. I am convinced that the difficulties experienced by most students are due to a lack of confidence caused by a lack of methodology.
And the essential point that I was able to retain from my academic experience is: rigor and method are the key words, in their absence the student will only feel powerless in the face of the exercises that he will have to solve.

I obtained a bac S (mathematics option) with first class honors in 2017 before entering preparatory class in Physics. I continued my training by integrating the Centrale Lyon school two years ago before joining Imperial this year.

I had many high school and preparatory class students during my two years in Lyon. By basing myself on the methods and the fundamental principles of the courses I helped 4 pupils to obtain their bac with honors. One of my students even went from an 8 average in physics in her first semester before getting 19 on the day of the bac.

I operate based on the methods of the different chapters. Too often ignored by teachers, not always understood by students, many exercises are based on the same methods.

My goal is for the student to recognize the exercises and their structures which are very similar so that on the day of the test he can say: "This question looks like one that I have already done in exercise, I know how to treat it"
