1) Listen a lot

This is essential. And easy, for English. You can watch movies or series, subtitles in French at first then in English when you are more comfortable. You can listen to the songs in the lyrics ("lyrics" in English).

2) Many speakers

Also essential, find a teacher who has a good conversation, or a friend, college... Speak even if you lack vocabulary. Mime the missing words, draw, make yourself understood at your level.

3) Read simple things

Books for children can be a wonderful tool of progress. Roald Dahl's books for example (Fantastic Mr Fox, Charly and the Chocolate Factory...) the series "the worst witch" by Jill Murphy. Comics too.

Being multilingual, I offer homework help, as well as tutoring for children and adolescents from CP to terminal. What is my working method? Having taught and helped many young people, I adapt to difficulties as well as to the level of the student.
