I offer tools for my students to develop a strong rhythmic sense, good listening skills and knowledge of basic score reading. I enjoy developing a student/teacher relationship where students can feel comfortable playing the instrument and have joy in the process. In each individual situation, I shape my teaching to best serve the needs of the pupil, will that be following a method and going every step by the book, or take a favorite song into consideration and from there build up a workable strategy. Everything is flexible in the end, the most important is to learn while enjoying music!

Depending on the interests of each student, the lessons can be oriented to the development of technique, theory, reading and musical writing as well as to the study of repertoire in different styles of popular music.

Cello classes are taught at all levels. It doesn't matter if you're a professional musician or not, it's about learning how the cello works and trying to improve while practicing. The main goal is to enjoy through the music. I give lessons at home but I might go to a preferred place if it's not too far.

Graduated in medicine and finishing my studies of electric bass performance at the Utrecht Conservatory. Currently working as a music producer, bass player and songwriter.

Seven years of experience as a music teacher teaching electric bass technique, modern ensembles and music theory.

My interest is to approach music from its most creative perspective. The course is based on practical projects. Students are guided to create musical, audio-visual and even visual pieces using their qualities and interests. For this, students need to develop qualities strictly linked to knowledge of music or the instrument. In this way, the learning process becomes a more fun, stimulating and enriching process for the student.

For those young students who wish to learn music and perhaps later pursue higher studies in music, I offer a preparation course for the higher exams that includes the necessary training in harmony, music theory and the performance of the electric bass. In this case, it is mandatory that the student is willing to commit and has the time necessary for preparation.

The drumset is one of the most important and powerful instruments in a music ensemble. It does not only provide the rhythm and groove foundation for all the other instruments - it also defines the sound of the band, the character of the songs, the volume... just like an orchestra conductor.

In these lessons (which are of course personalized and open depending on the interests of the student) we will work beyond the physical/mechanical aspect of the drums (technique, coordination, etc) into the musical aspect, so we will spend some time listening and analyzing music together, working on ear training and music theory from a practical point of view.

Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of flute playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and flutist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (soon) Dutch.

I can teach in various places near or in the center of Amsterdam, or, depending on the need, I can move to pretty much wherever in The Netherlands.

About the homework, I send it to the students on a weekly basis and encourage them to participate on competitions and summer music courses. As always, this is conditional on the pupil's stage.

The 45-minute vocal performance class (held in a studio room) entails a multidimensional approach that focuses on vocal technique, performative mindset and artistic skills for singers, also offering numerous opportunities for vocal competitions around the world (through the World Association of Performing Arts, WAPA).

In addition to Mario's 17 years of experience on stage and on camera, he has professional experience as a vocal coach. A lesson with Mario begins with vocal warm-up exercises (10 minutes); then, all vocal/performative/artistic skills are being taught through singing a song of the child/teenager's choice (30 minutes). The class ends with evaluation, advice and suggestion of exercises (5 minutes) so that the student can practice at home until the next class.

If you are a parent and would like to introduce your child to the art of music, Mario will create a fun learning environment and make the classes interesting, dynamic and entertaining. Water, tea, candies, or any other drink/snacks that your child would like will be provided for inspiration!
