I have been a tutor for college and high school students for 3 years now, in private lessons and group tutoring. I am particularly attentive to students who lack confidence or have learning difficulties, and I am always happy to adapt to them and show them that they are capable. I have met a lot of students who were convinced they were not cut out for math, but who ultimately just needed help in clarifying their mathematical thinking, and who eventually turned to higher scientific studies. Hi, Let me tell you about myself! In 2018 I attained a BSc (Hons) of Mathematics from University College Dublin, with higher second class honours. In 2019 I was awarded a Scholarship to study 'PGCE with Mathematics' in King's College London. I have taught Maths in two London secondary schools. My classes in both schools were keenly focused towards GCSE level. Furthermore, for the past six years I have been providing private tutoring lessons to a wide variety of students. With these I have learned how to perfectly tailor my method of teaching to get the most out of whatever student is in front of me. I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

As an alumna of the European School of Brussels III and a recent First-Class Honours graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) with a Master’s in Engineering and Architecture, I offer tutoring support to students of all levels. I’m especially familiar with the European School curriculum, GCSEs, and the International Baccalaureate, and I teach Maths and Physics at any level. They send me the topics they’d like to cover, along with any class notes, past exams, or homework. I review the material in advance and prepare tailored exercises so we can make the most of our time together. During the session, we work through everything collaboratively, and I often assign additional exercises or homework to reinforce learning. I take notes live during the lesson on my iPad, and afterwards, I share a complete PDF with everything we covered. If there’s something we didn’t get to, I make sure to finish it and send it over as soon as possible. Maths is a highly useful skill in all areas of life as well as most fields of industry. Maths has been a passion of mine since my school days where I managed to achieve an A at A-level in one year. My focus was mechanics and calculus but my teaching skills extend to all levels of from A-level below. My focus on teaching is to try and bring maths alive with the more fascinating ways in which different areas of maths can conjoin and impact the real world. Why are beehives hexagonal shaped for example? Why do spider webs mimic certain road maps? I've been a chess tutor as well as a maths tutor for some years and enjoy the process of teaching, having taught students as young as 5 all the way up to adults.
