Private Tutoring Mathematics & Test Prep from a PhD (7+ - 13+, GCSEs, A-Levels, IB, University) Online/At homeTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I hold a PhD in Mathematics from the School of Mathematical Sciences of Queen Mary University of London and I am an a Qualified Teacher (QTS) in the UK. I have extensive tutoring experience on undergraduate academic tutorials. My area of expertise is applied mathematics, including probability and statistics, R Statistical coding, Python, differentials equations, linear algebra and calculus. I collaborate with some of the top tutoring and education consultant firms in London and I have a proven track record of successfully preparing students for their 11+, 13+, GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths, whether their goal is to enter independent/grammar schools or league table UK universities. I also have extensive experience with the mathematics section of the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) preparation, required by several international universities in Europe and the US. I work closely with students from Portland Place School London, Kensington Park School, Francis Holland School Regent's Park, City of London School for Girls and Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres as well as Saint Mary Magdalene, William Ellis School and more. I have also helped students gain entrance to top Russel Group UK institutions, such as Queen Mary University of London, London School of Economics, King's College London, University of Edinburgh and more. I am currently a Teaching Associate for King's College London and Queen Mary University of London, teaching Calculus, Mathematical models, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability theory and Data science modules. Moreover, I have a long experience in working with students having learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism) and I am certified by the Queen Mary Disability and Dyslexia Centre as a Support Worker. I like to believe that I take a friendly approach to teaching and that my students are able to comprehend the subjects we discuss. I am always aiming to identify and cover knowledge gaps in a student's understanding that otherwise keep adding up. Working as an independent private tutor since 2016, I am equipped with patience and a good perception of the student's weaknesses, as well as a broad knowledge of mathematical tools that come in handy in the process of properly explain concepts.

Tutoring for Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Geography, RS, Physics, and EnglishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

Top-Ranked Graduate Tutoring – Maths & Physics by Alessandra!Translate this text using Google Translate.

As an alumna of the European School of Brussels III and a recent First-Class Honours graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) with a Master’s in Engineering and Architecture, I offer tutoring support to students of all levels. I’m especially familiar with the European School curriculum, GCSEs, and the International Baccalaureate, and I teach Maths and Physics at any level. I currently tutor several students and have experience tailoring lessons to individual needs. I can teach in English, Spanish, Italian, and German, and I can be contacted in those languages as well as French. Here’s how my lessons work: Once a student reaches out, we schedule a day and time. They send me the topics they’d like to cover, along with any class notes, past exams, or homework. I review the material in advance and prepare tailored exercises so we can make the most of our time together. During the session, we work through everything collaboratively, and I often assign additional exercises or homework to reinforce learning. I take notes live during the lesson on my iPad, and afterwards, I share a complete PDF with everything we covered. If there’s something we didn’t get to, I make sure to finish it and send it over as soon as possible. There’s truly no better feeling than seeing a student gain confidence and succeed in a subject they once found difficult.

Mark has been teaching my six year old son chess for about 6 months. My son always looks forward to his lessons and has made great progress throughout this time. Mark is professional and friendly, and I would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher.

Very patient and structured ! She’s a great tutor
