More information about me:

For you to get more acquainted with the type of person I am and my experiences, I am a very respectful and motivating person.
When I started working at Bellenden primary school in a Maths afterschool club with children aged 7-11 for 2+ years, I was able to help encourage the children when they were doubting how well they were doing when learning the new maths problems, and I was engaging with each parent when they wanted to know how well their child was doing. This enabled me to strengthen my relationship with them and it gave them the opportunity to express more into what their child might be struggling with in school. I was also able to discuss what could possibly help their child improve and maintained effective communication with the Head teacher, in case there was anything they could help me do better in. Ultimately, this Afterschool club was very successful, as parents and teachers reported seeing a difference in the way their child was advancing in their classes.
Nevertheless, I do understand that not every child learns the same way, so I made a greater effort to find the best way to help each pupil, so that the schoolwork can become even more enjoyable and rewarding. When the pupil is doing well it genuinely makes me very happy, as it is my passion to teach and for those learning to also gain from it.
Furthermore, I have had years of experience with face to face tutoring, so I'm very familiar with this. In addition to this, to develop trust with each parent when working as a home tutor, I make sure to always keep parents informed of the progress of their children and it is always a delight to hear that parents are thankful for the positive changes their child is making at home, as well as in school. With tutoring, I can meet parents outside of their home and can give the parent the reassurance that a trustworthy and respectful relationship can be built between them and myself.
To conclude, I am very committed and by the help of God, I'll look forward to meeting with you soon.
Extra information
I achieved a Level 1&2 functional skills qualification in Maths at City & Guilds and I also have a Maths GCSE.
