Italian is my mother tongue, I love its sound, its grammar structure, the culture it expresses.
I hope to pass on to my students my passion and enthusiasm, thanks to the experience I made at university, where I studied ancient Greek and Latin, then working as a teacher in high school, and gaining the DITALS, which is a diploma to teach Italian to foreigners.
I have experience with students of different levels and age, and I gear each lesson towards my students' goals and preferences.

I'm a passionate teacher who tries to pass on to her students her love for Italy and Italian language.
I'm patient and flexible. I want my students to feel comfortable and follow their times. I try to build lessons that can be interesting from my students' point of view.

Since I was studying at university, I always helped high school students in Greek, Latin, Italian. After university I started to teach in both private and public schools.
For 2 years I collaborated with the project "intercultura", teaching Italian to foreigners who came to my country to attend one year of high school.
Since 2016 I've been teaching Italian to foreigners privately.

Hello everyone! I hold a doctorate in Italian, have been teaching Italian for 5 years and hold a CELTA teaching qualification. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Italian culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. First Spanish lesson: Yes, as weird as it may seem, we have opening question and exclamation marks "¿¡!". See? First lesson done, the rest is as just as easy and fun!
I have been tutoring in languages for 8 years, and have covered several ranges. I have a BA in Linguistics and my research career focuses on language acquisition, so I know how your brain works when it is introduced to a new language! More than experience, I believe learning new languages is essential and beautiful, and will give you a unique experience to understand Spanish-speaking cultures. I know how challenging it can be, so I structure my classes in ways that will help maintain your motivation. In my experience, the best outcomes come from (as we say in Spanish) "tirarte a la piscina", which literally means "throwing yourself into the pool". By this I mean I expect you to say anything and everything you can say in Spanish, even if you need to invent 50% or more of what you say. Hearing and trying to speak all the time is what will make you improve fastest. I always try to adapt my classes to your needs and your personality, so feel free to give any constructive feedback!
