Trusted teacher: Hi, I'm Alice, 22 and recently graduated with a First Class degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Leeds. I spent the third year of my degree living and working in France, completing two internships and doing some private English tutoring too. I would love to share what I've learned over these 4 years to help other students! I am offering tutoring in the following areas: - English Language (GCSE/A-Level) - Linguistics (sociolinguistics, language, and gender, language and power, discourse analysis) - English as a foreign language (ESL) - French culture (specialist in French film and cinema) - Gender studies (throughout my degree I have specialized in gender and feminist approaches: feminist linguistics, feminist film theory, feminist philosophy, etc) My classes are ideal for students at any level! Whether you're an A-Level student looking for some help with the English Language coursework or an adult wanting to delve into the world of linguistics, I adapt my classes to YOU and YOUR goals! My approach is student-centered, prioritizing what you want out of your classes, making for a fun and relaxed learning atmosphere. I like to use current examples in my teaching to make the subject relevant and to really engage students. I also respond to student's learning styles (visual, verbal, aural, etc) and use this to their advantage, bringing out student's full potential. I am also open to emails and discussion between classes- learning isn't just in the classroom!

I am an accomplished and results-driven individual, with a qualification in Early Years and Development, Education & Training and Teaching English as a second Language. I have completed my Higher diploma in Education & Training with The Teacher Trainer LTD (UK) and am now working towards my QTS. I have a high respect for diversity, possesses an analytical and strategic thinking mechanism, and have an innovative and dynamic personality. My expertise is Providing students with academic support during assigned hours, developing academic materials and lessons relevant to the coursework and, collaborating with instructors to ensure the lesson materials are appropriate for the grade level, Assist students with class work & homework and provide extra teaching materials to keep up with age & grade requirements. I have been a tutor/mentor for ten years and look forward to working with many more individuals. Having work in both an informal and formal school environment, I have been exposed to working with individuals who are given different goals and targets to meet and this has enable me to mold to an environment that best suits and meets my learners needs. I am familiar with the current examination both used both in public and private schools and comfortable working with ages 5-16. I would love to have the opportunity to be a part of your study centre and look forward to hearing back from you. Many Thanks, Halimah Fatima

Trusted teacher: My name is Lyle, and I teach Trumpet, Piano, and also more general composition and music production. I specialise in contemporary styles (anything from the last 100 years), and have found many of my students typically are: - Young children, who's parents are looking for a teacher who is more interested in flexibility and helping the child become inspired and self-motivated, rather than crushed by overly academic and strict teaching. - Adults who feel like their childhood instrumental learning has left them with large gaps in their knowledge and ability, particularly when it comes to improvisation and playing music without sheet music. - Learners who are interested in developing their musicianship, and curious about, but also a bit scared by JAZZ. - Learners who are interested in recording music, and want advice on both music and professional goals and the industry. I am happy to teach grades, but have a strong teaching philosophy that focuses around more specifically tailored learning paths that focus on giving the student the tools needed to become self-sufficient playing and creating music, whether it be to relax at home, play with others, or write songs. If this sounds good, please don't hesistate to get in touch and we can discuss further! About me: I am currently completing my Level 4 Music Educator certificate from Trinity College, and have been fully teaching professionally for just over two years, since finishing my studies. As a trumpeter, I have played on European tours with various bands, played on great stages such as The Royal Festival Hall, Bath Forum, and at Glastonbury Festival. I also have my own band, LYLE!, in which I sing, play keyboards, play trumpet, and write and produce all of the music, as well as playing and performing with many different bands across the UK.

Jenovic is an organised, patient and fun teacher. He’s a brilliant model of spoken French, being a native speaker, but he also focuses on what my child needs for his GCSE, checking understanding and recall. Thank you Jenovic!
