A former scholar at the Royal College of Music London, sponsored by The Kenneth and Violet Scott Award, I earned a degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Nigel Clayton, Peter Jablonski and Ruth Nye. I was also a recipient of Talent Development Scholarship awarded by the Hong Kong Government Scholarship Scheme.

Started learning the piano at the age of 4, I won numerous prizes in different competitions including Asia Piano Open Competition, TOYAMA Asian Youth Music Competition, Inter-School International Performance Challenge and Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals. In 2018, I was also one of the finalists in the Liszt Memorial Prizes Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition.

I have been actively engaged in music teaching since 2013. Starting my career in Opus 1 Arts Music Studio in Hong Kong, I continued inspiring the next generation when I moved to London in 2015, where I was appointed as the piano teacher in the Lanterns School of the Performing Arts London and London Music Centre.

About Me

Stella is a Hong Kong-born classical pianist. Man Ting is graduated from the Monash University, majoring in Classical Piano. She has developed an extensive musical sense, knowledge and stylish skills from various famous musicians throughout her studies in Australia, included Ms, Lucinda Collins (the head of classical piano) from the Elder Conservatorium Of Music; Mr. Darryl Coote and Mr. Len Vorster. Man Ting enjoys playing music and working with others. She has participated in different ensembles and venues; in 2016, performed for the “Australiana” in the Melbourne Recital Centre and the Monash Piano Series Concert and in the same year got invited to perform for Duneira Concert and Monash University Open Day; in 2017, performed for the “Chopin and Liszt” and “Sounds Without End” which held in Collins St Baptist Church of Melbourne. During her college life, Man Ting has participated in the Monash Wind Symphony for 2 years as percussion and piano accompaniment; has been continuously awarded for the “Bernis Music Classical Piano Award” in 2016 and 2017.
Man Ting is an experienced teacher for all ages students and familiar to help student with AMEB and ABRSM grade exam. Also, as an interpreter of the ABRSM, this position allows her to help and train the exam setting with student more efficiently. Through her international career life, her experience allows her to communicate and be flexible with different students and parents from different countries and cultures. Born in 1998, Virginia started learning violin at the age of 3, under the tutelage of under Ms Beedarn Chao and Ms Rosa Lam. In 2013, she attained DipABRSM in violin performance and Grade 8 piano one year later. In 2018, Virginia graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours), under the sponsorship of the “King’s Hong Kong Scholarships” At KCL, she studied violin with tutors from the Royal Academy of Music - Mr. Nicolas Dupont and Ms Georgia Hannant. She also studied composition with Professor Silvina Milstein, Robert Keeley and Dr. Edward Nesbit. Her works have been performed by UK professional musicians and ensembles such as Clare McCaldin and Lontano Ensemble.

Since university, Virginia has been actively teaching primary to form 6 students at King’s St George’s Music Academy (London) and Sevenoaks School, one of the top 5 UK boarding schools. Aiming to branch out in the field of music, Virginia has took up various arts administration and marketing positions in leading ensembles such as the English Music Festival, London City Philharmonic and more since 2016.

I hold a Master of Music degree in piano performance (with merit) at Goldsmiths, University of London and have taught piano and music theory to students in Hong Kong, Beijing, Zhejiang and London for over fifteen years.

I welcome students from beginner to advanced level and am equally happy to help my students pass music exams or just learn to play piano for their own enjoyment.

When teaching kids and beginners, I strictly follow the traditional conservatory method of training the postures, fingers and muscles properly from the very beginning of the learning process. And for kids, I highly recommend that parent(s) can help monitor their practice at home.

For adult students, the most important thing is to analyse your performance, to find the problems that prevent you from playing better, face them and fix them. I provide creative solutions according to your conditions. I helped a senior student (60+ years old) to pass ABRSM Grade 8 with merit, a 20-year-old student to play keyboard and sing in his band after 10 lessons, and a high school student to get music scholarship in UK.

I won various 1st prize in Shanghai, China, Asia divisions and I had some small to large scale of personal concerts in China. I also performed as a singer during 2011-2020.

I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. Currently, I am an official singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes are always fully booked.

I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. My lessons are mostly in English, but of course I can teach in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese too. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. With six years of music teaching experience, from conducting school orchestras to private teaching, my main goal is to help my students fall in love with music. My music journey started at the age of 6, later at the age of 13 I began to play the cello and achieved an ATCL diploma from Trinity College of London in 2014, also LTCL in piano in 2015. Graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Music in 2019, I participated in the CUHK jazz ensemble from 2016 to 2019 and the Chinese Music Ensemble as the Lead bassist. Aside from learning piano, I studied music composition. Post-University, I have dedicated my time to private music education, encouraging students to learn music according to their abilities.
