Hello dear students!
My name is Ran. I was born and raised in Korea and lived in China, France.
I'm currently living in Brussels, Belgium.
I speak Korean, English, French and a little Chinese.
I also worked as professional tour guide in France and now I'm taking a tour guide course to become a licensed tour guide in Belgium. So I'm passionate about culture, art and history etc.
<My strong point>
1. To be fluent in a foreign language requires to understand not only the language itself but also the culture and history. So you are at the right address! Since I worked as tour guide, I can introduce you very unique and full of interesting Korean traditions in a fun way !
2. I'm quite good at cooking too. So you can learn Korean while cooking Korean dishes with me in my place. We will enjoy tasty and fun time together ! (You can book my cooking class on apprentus)
3. When you learn Korean, you will realize that there are many Korean words of Chinese origin, we call those words ''Hanja''. In fact, about 60 percent of Korean words are of Chinese origin. You can learn these words easily and efficiently with me as I'm learning Chinese as well.
Each lesson will be customized based on your need.
To me, learning a language should be fun and I'm very enthusiastic on teaching.
My lessons are structured in a way that is fun and enjoyable. You will learn practical stuff that you need for everyday life with me. I will employ various multimedia and pictures too. With my lessons, you'll realize that you're getting closer to Korean language.
I can help students of all ages, from children to adults for all levels. And I give both online and face-to-face class.

Pour moi, la langue coréenne est tellement belle. J'aime tellement ma langue maternelle.
Cela semble très joli, donc c'est comme une mélodie pour moi.
J'aime aussi l'alphabet coréen car pour moi c'est l'un des plus beaux alphabets du monde. Beaucoup de mes amis étrangers m'ont dit qu'ils aimaient ses formes et la beauté de sa calligraphie même s'ils n'en comprenaient pas le sens.
Je souhaite que vous tombiez amoureux de cette langue si charmante. C'est pourquoi je souhaite enseigner le coréen. J'aime aussi apprendre les langues et la culture qui y est liée. J'aime transmettre ma passion pour le coréen et les langues en général aux autres.

If you think of yourself as a foodie, you should take the cooking class with me!
You can spend a delicious time and an appetizing experience while enjoying the meal that you just learned how to prepare.
They are so good so you will definitely want to make them again.
I offer different options for your cooking class depending both on your taste and your budget. The classes are approximately 2 or 3 hours long, including the preparation of the meal and the eating (dinner or lunch).
We will decide the dish and the ingredients together each time.

- Spicy sticky rice cake with veggies (Ddeokbokki)
- Crispy fried chicken with sweet-sour sauce (Dakgangjeong)
- Stir-fried chicken breast with sweet potato (Dak gaseumsal bokkem)
- Korean traditional pumpkin porridge (Hobakjook)
- Mushroom pakchoi shabushabu (shabushabu)

During the cooking class, you can not only learn how to make the dishes but also Korean table manners. (How to use chopsticks, how to do cheers etc.

My cooking class is also good for vegans as well because there are many good vegan Asian dishes that you would absolutely love.
The class will take place basically in my place but it is possible to have it in your place as well :)
