Passionate about percussion since the age of 6, Francesco Marzetti begins taking drum class at the age of 14. His first teacher is Vittorio Marinoni, then replaced by Stefano Bertoli.
During the last few years, he plays in several Rock / Metal / Progressive groups in the area of Bergamo (Italy), improving different techniques and refining double pedal skills.
Thanks to his mentor Stefano Bertoli, Francesco continues his studies and plays in various Funk/Latin/Fusion/Jazz groups. He also attends jazz music classes held by Tino Tracanna, Stefano Bertoli and Attilio Zanchi, as well as Sandro Gibellini and Sergio Orlandi, where he has the opportunity to improve his improvisation techniques and styles. His meetings with the Mexican artist Israel Varela and his passion for Latin Music, leads him to a full and complete understanding of the language of this specific music genre.
Thanks to Maxx Furian, he also has the opportunity to refine his technique.
Francesco is now working in cooperation with several groups, playing live music: Mind the Gap (Metalcore), Acid Frogs (Acid Jazz, Drum ‘n Bass, Electronic Music) and Latina Turner (Latin Jazz) as well as LigaStory (a cover tribute band to Luciano Ligabue, where he occasionally plays live with Max Cottafavi e Federico Poggipollini).
He works as an independent teacher in Suonintorno School in Gorle, Bergamo (Italy).
Recording studio collaboration with emerging artists allows Francesco to refine his studio techniques and sounds.

During my years of experience as a teacher, I developed different methods and exercises to teach drumming and music from beginners to advanced students. more important in my function is to have the ability to adapt since each student needs an individual and specific approach. Thus, although my teaching method is based on standardized concepts and exercises, the most important thing is to adapt to each student. I think the main interest is that the students can find the motivation to practice the instrument since the true learning is built by oneself. In this end, the most common is to use the songs chosen by the student and from this point of departure, to highlight the concepts that must be acquired.When it involves students of more advanced levels, I try to focus the teaching on a goal given together.

Professional musician, I hold the DEM, diploma of musical studies delivered to the CRR of Cergy Pontoise. I play drums since small, my father being a professional drummer and percussionist. In 2010, I graduated with a gold medal on my instrument, awarded unanimously.

WORKING METHOD:

My course is composed of several parts: Exercises of technique (one can not cut there), work of rhythmic patterns on partitions (no player no worries), work on CD, hear cycles, development of musical listening, drum solo development, how to write your own rhythms ...

I am open to all styles of music: rock, latin, funk, jazz, hip-hop, variety ... I often propose to work on pieces appreciated by my students. I raise them and we work together. We work with more ardor on a music that we like!

I have multiple formations with which I evolve. When you teach, it is very important to practice the scene. This keeps this passion for music still alive. I often invite my students to listen to me on stage. It's interactive and often very fun because we can talk concretely about what is being discussed. I'm Romain, a university student and passionate pianist for about ten years. After a classical education at the conservatory, I developed a more intuitive approach: playing by ear, personal arrangements, simplified theory, and above all... fun from the very first lessons.

A teaching method designed to help you learn the piano in a less conventional way. Want to learn to play the music you love, without the hassle? Movies, anime, video games, jazz, improvisation, pop, accompaniment... I'll teach you to play freely and at your own pace, even without music theory.

The course is based on a constant balance between technique and musical performance. Technical exercises are always directly linked to specific pieces and grooves, in order to avoid a heavy or discouraging theoretical approach.

Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the body and the instrument:
good posture on the stool, relaxation, hand and finger position, coordination, balance and center of gravity.

These elements are essential for making effective progress, avoiding unnecessary tension, and developing a natural relationship with the drums.

Finally, I am primarily here for the student.
If the student has a clear idea of the direction in which they wish to go, I will be there to accompany them and help them achieve it.

I am not trying to impose a rigid teaching method: I adapt to the needs, pace and objectives of each individual.

What I do insist on, however, are the essential basics: good posture, the elimination of unnecessary tension in the body and a healthy way of playing.

For the rest, teaching is always built with the student, in the spirit of a pedagogy that has personally worked very well for me and that I now pass on with conviction.
