Hi! I am Ronalene - an ESL instructor, ECE practitioner, and a professional licensed teacher from the Philippines. I also hold TESOL certification.

Enough with the formalities, you can also refer to me as Teacher Len. I'm a wife and a furmom to a pomeranian. I love slow-living while doing the things that I'm passionate about. When I am not teaching or working, you can find me doing art, buying stoneware, listening to music, or watching silent vlogs. I also travel every once in a while (aka every time our budget permits) my favorite destination is Japan, specifically, Nagasaki.

I am looking forward to seeing you in my class and to be hearing stories from you. Studying while having fun is possible and I can't wait to share this joy of learning with you!

Education

In 2014, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, a milestone that marked the beginning of my journey in the tech world. Building on that foundation, I further expanded my horizons by obtaining a Certificate in Professional Education with a major in Social Studies in 2018. These educational pursuits have equipped me with a diverse skill set, blending technological expertise with a deep understanding of social studies, positioning me to contribute meaningfully in both fields.

Native from the Philippines offers an individualized pedagogy to learn the languages of the Philippines: Tagalog and/or Cebuano/Bisaya. My goal is to promote the languages of the Philippines in Europe, in general and in France, helping future Filipino tourists learn the language before traveling to the Philippines, as well as helping European Filipinos learn the language of their parents.

In this course, we will cover the basics of the Filipino language: pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Various activities will be organized to promote mastery of sentence construction and improvement of the power of words. Cultural contributions will be included such as fiesta celebrations, food, songs and lifestyle.

For those Filipinos out there who want to learn the basics of the French language in the most comprehensive way possible. I will explain the basics to you in Tagalog or in English, so you will quickly understand how the French grammar works.
