About Me
Hi! I'm Zach, an experienced English teacher with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rhode Island and a 120-hour TEFL certification, plus additional qualifications in Young Learners, Business English, and Exam Prep (TOEFL, TESL, etc.).

For the past three years, I've taught in schools throughout Germany, leading immersive, weeklong English programs that combine language learning with arts activities and cultural exchange. Before that, I worked at the Providence Children's Museum, where I developed my playful, engaging teaching style.

I believe that language learning is most effective when students feel comfortable, curious, and empowered. That's why I focus on interactive, personalized lessons tailored to your interests and goals.

In my personal life, I'm a writer and musician, and I love incorporating storytelling, music, and creativity into lessons. Whether you're preparing for an exam, want to boost your confidence, or are simply looking for a fun, engaging way to learn, I'd love to help you succeed!

Education
I earned my bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rhode Island in 2017 and completed my 120-hour TEFL certification—including additional certifications—two years later.
Experience / Qualifications
With a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Rhode Island and over eight years of teaching experience, I have developed a deep understanding of language and communication. My career began at the Providence Children's Museum (2017-2020), where I designed and led play-based, child-led programs for preschoolers and school-aged children. These experiences helped me build an ability to create dynamic, engaging learning environments that allow students to explore, learn, and grow through creative play. This foundation allows me to teach students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds with an adaptable approach that meets the needs of each student.

As a passionate traveler, I've had the privilege of connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds around the world. This has enriched my teaching practice, deepened my cultural sensitivity, and increased my ability to understand and support students from diverse perspectives.

Since 2022, I have been organizing English-language learning programs throughout Germany. I integrate arts and cultural exchange into the curriculum to create meaningful, enjoyable language learning experiences.

TEFL certifications:
Teaching English to young learners
Formal English
Education in standardized examinations (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC)

In addition to my teaching experience, I have an advanced knowledge of Dutch and a basic knowledge of German. This allows me to connect well with students from diverse language backgrounds.
