FUN english lessons! with English teacher

Hello! My name is Kate and I am an Australian who is has been living in France since 2019. I am fluent in French and English is obviously my native language. My educational background: I hold a Masters of Art Therapy from The University of Paris with a major in music therapy, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with majors in Music and Psychology, and a Diploma of Languages with a major in French from The University of Queensland, Australia. As a native English speaker my goal is to instill confidence in my students (of all ages) of their ability to speak, use, and understand English. I use a variety of interactive methods including songs, actions, rhymes, books, and music. I am firm believer in 'trying' and as such I will encourage my students to use their English, regardless of how many faults they may make. It is only from making errors, that we can improve! Additionally, I am happy to work on assignments, test preparation, or any other English homework which may need completing. I can provide homework, or extension tasks as required. My lessons are largely immersion based, and as such I will avoid the use of French, unless an explanation is needed for clarity. I am happy to adapt to the needs of my students. I have been teaching English in France since 2019. Prior to arriving in France, I tutored for over two years in Australia, aiding students from ages 8 to 17 with a variety of subjects including English, maths, science, music, and french. I have extensive experience with children: I have been a scout leader since 2020 in Marseille, and have been involved with Girl Guides Australia since I was 7 years old, eventually leading a group of 10-17 year olds for over 4 years before arriving to France. I am located near Metro Prado, but can travel throughout Marseille. Depending on distance, travel costs may be in addition to class fees. I have a valid working with children background check in Australia, and hold first aid qualifications in France (PSC1).

You will learn Spanish and / or English in a dynamic way with exercises that promote the learning of the language to use it in everyday life as well as in a more formal or even specific setting. My goal is that you can use the language to communicate fluently and enjoy it. To do this, I use non-formal education methods, these are activities that make it possible to implement the knowledge already acquired of the language and to improve and deepen its level, but also to formal education by explaining grammar or dispelling doubts in order to teach them to express themselves well in writing and orally in formal or informal situations. In summary, the student will learn grammar and pronunciation through conversations and games. In addition, the courses will be adapted to the needs and requirements of the student. I’ve always loved music, it is one of my lifetime passions, since I was a kid. So, singing and playing nylon strings guitar or steel strings guitar is essential for me, for my well-being and mindfulness. The classes are for anyone who would like to play music, from beginners to aspiring professional guitar players and singers with some experience. The focus is to learn how to develop the techniques required to play the songs that you love. I can adapt according to the musical style of the student. As for the plan, we can figure it out together. I like to communicate effectively with the students to understand what they want to learn specifically. I prefer to use the materials and methods that will fit the needs of my students, according to their musical taste and goals. Be sure, you'll learn a variety of techniques in a relaxed and funny way.
