I keep track of a level of progress and make sure my students get their personalized material as well as the support they need from me. I assign homework if needed / requested and will make sure my students get a fitting program to increase their language level as efficiently as possible. 👂 LISTENING: The IELTS listening test is full of DISTRACTIONS. It is designed to make you not sure about the answer. Usually, there is not just one simple answer, but there are two or three possible answers, and only one is completely correct. I will teach you to pay attention to the correct keywords and reject the distractions. SPELLING is also very important for this test. English spelling is complicated, but there are rules and patterns that I will teach you.

📚 READING: I will teach you how to increase your reading SPEED, quickly find key information and reject distractions. You will learn how to answer all question types including multiple choice, matching information, true/false/not given, filling in blanks, and labelling diagrams.

🖊️ WRITING: You will learn about all the Task 1 question types including graphs, charts, maps and diagrams, plus all the Task 2 essay types. My COMPLETE IELTS WRITING GUIDE will give you all of the sentence patterns and structures you need to answer any question type. Even if you don't normally write well, you will be PREPARED for the test. I will also teach you to write QUICKLY, as it is essential to finish both tasks and reach the minimum number of words within one hour.

I grew up in New Zealand and lived there for 6 years. Additionally, I received a one-year scholarship to study in the USA, which means I speak English as good as a native speaker. I have taken English classes in primary, middle, and high school. I have also taken English Literature classes and Presentation Speaking classes in English. During my final year of high school, taking the International Baccalaureate Program and English B at Higher Level, I received a 7 (highest grade) on my final oral exam and a 7 on my final written exam. I am able to tutor in holding conversations, meaning learning through having discussions with a native speaker. I may also teach literature, the analysis of texts, prepare for exams such as International Baccalaureate, SAT, or basic standardized testing.

I believe English is the international language of the world and is a basic tool of the 21st century. However, at times, it may seem complex. I believe teaching through having discussions is the best way to learn. I would prepare structured classes that would enable you to learn effectively and repeat the previously acquired knowledge in order to memorize it and successfully become more fluent and comfortable in the language.
